Thursday's Daily Dosage

Kopitar's fantastic couple of weeks continues - Bruce Bennett

All the fantasized news from Wednesday's night NHL action.

Nice to have some games that impact on our fantasy teams.  Here we go...

Jimmy Howard's shutout bid was spoiled by Brian Gionta with just 27 second left in the game.  Still it was a nice effort in his return from the break.  It's been a pretty average season for him so far so his owners are owed this.

Peter Budaj stepped in for the injured Carey Price and did pretty well himself... saving 28 of 30.  He'll get at least one more guaranteed start this week so he's worthy of a short term add.  Do you know he hasn't given up more than three goals in a game all year.  Not too shabby.

Eddie Lack and Jaroslav Halak also duked it out.  Lack won the battle with the 20 save shutout and Halak the unlucky loss with 34/35 saves.

So thanks to the great tending above we don't have very much to talk about now.  Thanks a ton fellas.

Milan Lucic picked up 1+1=2 (although with a minus-3, wtf?) and now has 11 points in his last 9 games.  We could still use a few more PIM though.

I always enjoy a good Ville Leino update.  He picked up 2 assists last night and now has whopping 12 points (all assists) in 39 games.  He also has (get this) just 28 shots.  That's a weekly total for Ovie!  All joking aside, he's getting time on the 'top' line in Buffalo (with Matt Moulson and Drew Stafford) and played over 17 minutes yesterday.  Maybe worth an add in some leag... nope, can't even finish that sentence.

Latvian superstar Zemgus Girgensons picked up a 1+1=2.  Like Leino, he has been pretty useless this season but he'll be getting a long look in some prime situations as the season winds down.

Slovenian superstar Anze Kopitar picked the line of the night with 2+1=3, 4 shots and 2 blocks.  He's got seven points in his last three games.

Tuukka Rask owners might have been quietly happy Chad Johnson got pumped for five goals on 26 shots.  Johnson has been stellar this season and it's cost Rask and his owners few starts.

That seemed too short but I can't find anything else worthy of your precious time.  If I missed something help a brother out and throw it in the comments.
