Thursday's Daily Dosage

Kelvin Kuo-USA TODAY Sports

All the fantasized news from Wednesday's night NHL action.

Ville Leino was a healthy scratch last night for the second game in a row/  He has zero goals in 37 games with almost 15 minutes of ice time a night.  Kind of impressive actually.   Cap hit of $4.5 mill.  Ouch.

That's right I led off with a Ville Leino update.  Wanna fight about it?

Drew Stafford hasn't been terrible lately.  I'd go as far to even say... good.  After a goal last night he has seven points in his last six games.  No foolin'.  Granted he missed some time from a LBI in the middle of those six games and he has only 13 points in the other 42 games... but still!

Corey Crawford was perfect last night and picked up the 29 save shutout.  It was just his second shutout of the year but he's got some nice numbers anyway with 21 wins, 2.42 gaa and a .914 sv%.

Marian Hossa went 1+1=2 and now is on a nice little hot streak.  He has 15 points in his last 13 games.  He's also on pace for over 70 points.  Probably a bit more than most were expecting on draft day.

So what else can we talk about ummmm, Scott Hannan and Marty Havlat had two point nights... giving them a whopping 10 and 11 points on the season respectively.  Ok, moving on.

Tommy Wingels scored his 11th goal and is now on playing at a surprising 45 point pace.  He's a big hitter (149 in just 52 games) so he's becoming a bit of a stud in hits leagues.

Bit of line juggling last night as the Sharks put Patrick Marleau with Jumbo Joe Thornton and Brent BurnsJoe Pavelski was playing with Wingels and Matt Nieto.  Not really good news for J-Pav owners.  We'll see if they stick.

After Antti Niemi gave up four goals in the Sharks last contest Alex Stalock got the nod and picked up the OT win with 19/20 saves.  Check out his goals allowed in the seven games he's started: 2, 2, 0, 0, 1, 3 and 1 last night.  His numbers (1.73 / .937) are pretty sweet and if he could swing a bit more playing time he could do some fantasy damage.

Not much else fantasy worthy news from last night.  If I missed anything throw is in the comments.
