Today's list....Shooting Percentage - Over & Under Performers
Shooting Percentages do not normally fluctuate a great deal from year to year, so by taking a look at the guys who are well above or below their recent trends (last three years) we might be able to see a breakout or breakdown coming.
The table below shows you the seven players who were the ‘luckiest' and the 10 players who were the ‘unluckiest'

Today's list....Efficient Power Play Performers
Here are the top 10 guys who got the most out of their (sometimes) limited PP minutes ( PPP divided by PP TOI). If they can up their PP TOI we might be able to see a jump in their total production.
1) Daniel Sedin 42 PP points in 3:37 min
It's crazy that the Sedin's only play three and a half minutes on the PP.
2) Teemu Selanne 34 PP points in 3:28 min
We guess the old fella can't handle the big minutes any more but he's really making his count.
3) Joe Thornton 33 PP points in 3:23 min
With Pavelski and Couture developing Thornton gets leaned on a lot less.
4) Henrik Sedin 35 PP points in 3:36 min
Imagine what the twins could do if they were getting two and a half extra minutes a game like Crosby and Malkin.
5) Nicklas Lidstrom 39 PP points in 4:03 min
#1 in PP points by dman but not even in top ten in PP minutes.
6) Dany Heatley 30 PP points in 3:14 min
Almost had as many points on the PP as he did at even strength (34).
7) Henrik Zetterberg 30 PP points in 3:15 min
He was one of only 13 players who topped 30 PPP last season.
8) Martin St. Louis 41 PP points in 4:31 min
He's the only player in the top 10 in PP TOI who is also on this list.
9) Corey Perry 31 PP points in 3:30 min
Last year's MVP was just 57th in PP TOI.
10) Thomas Vanek 28 PP points in 3:16 min
His PPTOI has dropped three straight years... luckily his PPP went back up last season.
SURPRISES
11) Matt D`Agostini 14 PP points in 1:39 min
15) Manny Malhotra 6 PP points in 0:45 min
20) Dominic Moore 7 PP points in 0:54 min
22) Anthony Stewart 10 PP points in 1:18 min
23) Mikael Samuelsson 19 PP points in 2:29 min
24) Teddy Purcell 21 PP points in 2:45 min
26) Ryan Shannon 9 PP points in 1:12 min
31) Tyler Kennedy 14 PP points in 1:53 min
41) Sergei Kostitsyn 13 PP points in 1:53 min
Fantasy Top Ten - 2011 Fantasy Prospects
We know you fantasy owners love a good list so we put together a whole whack of them in both our Fantasy Scouting Report and our Breakout Bible.
We've decided to reproduce a few of them on the site to drum up a bit more business and more importantly to generate a bit of discussion.
So this is only going to work if we get a ton of comments. So the 90% of you that are reading this but never comment... let's hear what you have to say. Love the list? Hate it? Somebody we forgot? Let us know.

Today's list.... Top 10 Fantasy Prospects from the 2011 Draft
If your league has a prospect component you probably already own our famous Fantasy Prospects Database. Cam spends a big percentage of his life thinking about prospects and he's nice enough to put them on paper for us. In my opinion the Prospect DB is the best thing we produce at FHS.
Here are the top ten guys from this summer's draft rated from a fantasy perspective, as listed in the Prospect DB.
1) Ryan Murphy, CAR (1st round - 12th overall) 63 games with 26+53=70 in OHL
We love his fantasy prospects. He's got tons of offensive skill but is smallish (5-11, 170). Still at camp so it looks like he'll get nine games at least.
2) Sean Couturier, PHI (1st round - 8th overall) 58 games with 36+60=96 in QMJHL
Think Jordan Staal but with more scoring upside. He'll likely return to junior next year but could surprise. Another guy who surprised and has managed to stick with the Flyers throughout camp.
3) Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, EDM (1st round - 1st overall) 69 games with 31+75=106 in WHL
Brilliant playmaker, finished third in WHL with 106 points. He has been compared to Brad Richards. Made the Oilers and will make his NHL debut this weekend. Needs to show he can handle the physical stuff to stick more than nine games.
4) Jonathan Huberdeau, FLA (1st round - 3rd overall) 67 games with 43+62=105 in QMJHL
105 pts in 67 gms in 'Q', he's has tons of skill One of the last few cuts in Florida's camp. He'll spend the whole year in junior.
5) Matt Puempel, OTT (1st round - 24th overall) 55 games with 34+35=69 in OHL
Expected to be Top 10 but fell to 24 due to a hip injury. He's a pure scorer with lots of upside. He's way down on many prospect lists but could be a fantasy star one day. Back to OHL for him this season.
6) Sven Bartschi, CAL (1st round - 13th overall) 66 games with 34+51=85 in WHL
Was the top scoring WHL rookie (85 pts in 66 gms). A bit on the small side but will muck it up if he needs too. He's only decent prospect in Calgary's system and is back in the WHL this season.
7) Ryan Strome, NYI (1st round - 5th overall) 65 games with 33+73=106 in OHL
Broke out in a big way in 2nd OHL season (106 pts in 65 gms). We thought he had no chance to make the but like others on this list he'll get at least nine games to show what he can do.
8) Joel Armia, BUF (1st round - 16th overall) 48 games with 18+11=29 in SM-liiga
A big time goal scorer playing in SM-liiga. He's a few years away...but he's one to keep an eye on
9) Gabriel Landeskog, COL (1st round - 2nd overall) 53 games with 36+30=66 in OHL
He's NHL ready and has long term potential to be a 30 goal / 60 point guy. Probably the best potential to make an impact this season but doesn't have the high end fantasy value you should be looking for with your prospect picks.
10) Adam Clendening, CHI (2nd round - 36th overall) 39 games with 5+21=26 in NCAA
Offensive d-man who could be a future PP QB. Just finished his first year at Boston College.

Today's list.... Top 10 Goalie Gambles
Ahhhh goalies. They can win you a fantasy title (thank you very much Carey Price) or lose it for you (Craig Anderson, we're looking in your direction). These are not the best ten fantasy goalies ... but ten goalies who are currently backups (or #1A) but with a little luck they could end up making a nice low risk / high reward pick.
1) Mark Dekanich (backing up Steve Mason)
Dekanich's lack of name recognition should means he comes cheap and investing in Steve Mason's backup is always a good idea (although Mason did have a fine preseason). If Mason puts up another stinker (that would be the third year in a row) the Jackets could lean heavily on Dekanich
2) Cory Schneider (backing up Roberto Luongo)
We think Schneider is ready to go as a #1 goalie (he did finish 3rd and 4th in sv% and gaa respectively last year). Only problem is Luongo is stuck in his path. He'll need an injury or trade to really reach his potential but he's worth a shot.
3) Jonathan Bernier (backing up Jonathan Quick)
We're going to keep putting him here until he breaks through and steal Quick's job. It's happening eventually. It could be this year.
4) Tuukka Rask (backing up Tim Thomas)
He was the #1 a year ago and it took a record breaking season Thomas to usurp him. Thomas is 37 years old and old guys tend to get injured. If that ever happened Rask is a top ten goalie. In the meantime expect a 60-40 split which makes Rask one of the most valuable backups in the league.
5) Jason LaBarbera (backing up Mike Smith)
Really wish Phoenix had a better backup as we're not convinced Mike Smith has it to be a #1. LaBarbera has been a starter (kinda) before so the Yotes may hand him the job if they need to. Only problem is he was terrible last year (3.26 gaa / .909 sv%)
6) Mathieu Garon (backing up Dwayne Roloson)
Rolly is 42 years old now. We know he's a freak of nature but his body can't hold on forever, right?. Garon has been played >30 games the last three years so he can handle a good sized workload.
7) Dan Ellis (backing up Jonas Hiller)
He was really, really good with the Ducks in 13 games last year. He probably got a bit lucky but with Hiller's vertigo issues, Ellis might be worth a late round pick... especially if you own Hiller.
8) Evgeni Nabokov (backing up Al Montoya)
Yeah it's a long shot but we're hopeful he gets traded soon and lands in a good situation.
9) Jacob Markstrom (in AHL, third on depth charts)
He's third on the depth charts but the two ahead of him are Scott Clemmensen and Jose Theodore. Clemmensen has already gotten injured so Markstrom will start the season as the backup. He's got the talent to run with it.
10) Johan Hedberg (backing up Martin Brodeur)
He posted better numbers than Brodeur last season and Marty has had trouble staying healthy lately. In Florida, DeBoer has sat his star #1 tender (Vokoun) for stretches to ride the hot hand... the same could happen in NJ.
Fantasy Top Ten - Under The Radar Breakout Picks

Today's list.... Top 10 Under The Radar Breakout Picks
These aren't the big name breakouts that everybody in your league in going to drooling over. Guys like Taylor Hall might get all the attention but every year you get a few guys who fly under the radar like Logan Couture. Hopefully you'll be able to grab one or two of these guys late as a flyer and it's pays off.
1) Zac Dalpe, RW, CAR : 4 to 45 points
Looks to have won a job in camp and the news gets even better... the early word is he'll be lining up next to Eric Staal. We've been really high on him for a long time and so far things are looking very good.
2) Guillaume Latendresse : 6 to 46 points
He's only on this list because he was out injured all season so many will forget he played at a 55 point pace when he came over from Montreal two years ago.
3) Stephane Da Costa, C, OTT : 0 to 39 points
He'll battle it out with Peter Regin and Mika Zibanejad for the 2nd line center job. Playing with Alfredsson and Michalek isn't the worst spot for the 22-year-old former NCAA star to be.
4) Jordan Caron, RW, BOS : 7 to 37 points
It looks like he's making the team as the 3rd line RW, but a bit of juggling and he's on the 2nd line. If the Bruins bring in a veteran winger things could change.
5) Jonathon Blum, D, NAS : 8 to 31 points
He's third on the depth charts for PP TOI in Nashville and he could pick up a breakout season playing in Shea Weber's shadow.
6) Cam Barker, D, EDM : 5 to 29 points
He's #2 on the PP depth charts and scored 40 pts in 68 games a few years ago. There is some potential here and after just five points last year he should come cheap.
7) Grant Clitsome, D, CBJ : 19 to 31 points
We're hoping not many fantasy owners realize how good Clitsome was in his 31 games for the Jackets last year (43 pt pace). He might not hit that number with James Wisniewski around with The Wiz on the shelf for the first few weeks he might start fast.
8) Marc-Andre Gragnani, D, BUF : 3 to 25 points
The spending spree by the Sabres really hurt his chances to breakout but we're still hopeful an injury or ineffectiveness will get him enough playing time to top 20 points. He had seven points in seven playoff games last year.
9) Roman Josi, D, NAS : 0 to 26 points
Lots of job openings on the blueline in Nashville but Josi couldn't win one. He was injured so we're hoping he comes back strong and gets on the NHL team eventually. He scored 40 points in 69 AHL games last year.
10) Stefan Elliott, D, COL : 0 to 20 points
He's one of the reasons the Avs could afford to ship Shattenkirk out. He's no sure thing to make the team but if he does he should get some PP time.

Today's list.... Top 10 Superstar Breakout Candidates for 2011/12
Here's the top 10 guys that have already had breakout seasons but we think are now close to making a big jump to the "superstar" level.
1) Mikko Koivu : 23+54 = 77 points
We've always wondered what he could do with a decent winger... now we'll get a chance to see
2) Matt Duchene : 33+42 = 75 points
He had 55 points as a rookie and 67 points last year. We think he's ready to crack 75... or more.
3) John Tavares : 35+38 = 73 points
We'd put him even higher if he had some better linemates but anybody can turn Matt Moulson into a scoring machine has loads of talent.
4) Joe Pavelski : 28+44 = 72 point
He played at a 73 point pace last year and spent part of the season on the 3rd line. He'll be on L1 or 2 all season and if he can stay healthy he'll crack 70 for the first time in his career.
5) Phil Kessel : 38+33 - 71 points
He had his best season with Krejci as his center in Boston. Last year, he scored 64 without a decent pivot. Now, with Tim Connolly around, he'll look to set a career high (assuming he can stay healthy) in points.
6) Jeff Skinner : 34+35 = 69 points
63 points as an 18-year-old is pretty damn impressive. This year he'll come into camp with confidence, a guaranteed job and should pick up some sol PT with Eric Staal.
7) David Backes : 33+34 = 67 points
He's not quite at 70 but when you add in the PIM's, shots and hits he's the best fantasy power forward out there not named Corey Perry.
8) Brent Burns : 20+30 = 50 points
Being on the Sharks PP beside Dan Boyle is a very nice spot for your fantasy d-men to be. The only thing that can hold him back is injury.
9) Erik Karlsson : 15+34 = 49 points
Karlsson was one of our big breakout picks last season and boy did he deliver. We think the Sens will be an improved squad this year which can only help Karlsson in his 2nd NHL season.
10) Alex Pietrangelo : 14+33 = 47 points
He had 43 points last year in his breakout rookie season. He'll improve this season and has a shot to top 50.
