Fantasy Hockey Scouts: 2010/11 Fantasy Scouting Report: Preview & Projections
Release Date: August 31st, 2010
A: Cause we’re just a couple of fantasy hockey fanatics who spend all their time thinking about fantasy hockey and we got tired of all the crappy fantasy guides out there that didn’t meet our expectations or needs… so we wrote our own (& packed it full of stuff that fantasy hockey freaks would want).
Q: So what makes the Fantasy Scouting Report (FSR) different?
A: Let’s see…
Them: Their goal is to sell magazines.
Us: Our goal is to win our pool and, while we’re at it, help you win your pool as well (hopefully we’re not in the same league… awkward).
Them: Written in early July by an army of robot desk jockeys who do it cause that’s what they’re paid to do.
Us: Written now (and five minutes from now) by a few smelly dudes who do it cause we love it.
Them: Their guides are glossy & pretty.
Us: Our guide is beer-stained (but we’ll email you a dry version).
Them: They advertise the shit out of their stuff… cause they want to sell more magazines.
Us: Our advertising department consists of our cat and a Don Cherry bobble-head… trust me, they don’t accomplish much… cause we’re more interested in helping you, our loyal readers, win your pool.
Them: They play it safe and don’t take risks.
Us: Hell, I quit my job to write this thing… damn right we take risks!
Here’s what’s in the Fantasy Scouting Report:
· Team Profiles – Including a team scouting report, projected line combinations & PP units, top fantasy prospects and analysis of the team’s goalies and net situation.
· 2010/11 Projected Stats – Player projections for over 500 skaters and goalies including key fantasy hockey stats like +/-, PIMS, PPP, shots, gaa & sv%... all in a spreadsheet so you can sort and tinker as you please.

· Lists – Tons of lists that will help you prepare for your fantasy hockey draft… for example: breakouts, breakdowns, injury comebacks, roll the dice picks, points & PIMs combo players, lock 'em in goalies, goalie gambles, power play performers, six category studs… & more.
HockeyPoolGeek.com: We've teamed up with the fine people over at HockeyPookGeek.com and if you buy the FSR & subscribe to HPG for a year (which gives you access to all their cool tools for $19.99) then you'll have the FHS projected stats already pre-loaded at HPG. This is huge as they've taken our projected stats & added their projections for categories that we don't project (50+ stat categories in total) and this allows you to create some pretty awesome custom draft rankings for your league. Details & a link will be provided in the package that is sent to you after you order. Here's a one-pager with a little more on HPG... Download Hockey Pool Geek & FHS Info
UPDATES: We’ll be updating the Fantasy Scouting Report regularly (the latest update was done on Sept 21st) right up to opening night, so you’ll always have the up-to-date info for your fantasy hockey draft.
SAMPLE: For a little preview of what you'll get, download a free sample of last year's FSR profile for the Penguins... Download 2009-10 FSR_Sample_Penguins
