Alex Goligoski is seeing a lot more PP time than Kris Letang, although the Pittsburgh PP is struggling right now.
Bryan Little played RW on the 1st line last night and continued his hot start with a goal and an assist and now has 5 points in 3 games.
Zach Bogosian was a healthy scratch last night... could this be a sign that he's headed back to junior soon?
Todd Bertuzzi had 2 goals for Calgary as the 1st line started to click. Mark Giordano played less than 12 minutes last night, a big drop off from what he's been playing so far, we don't think he got hurt but we'll look into that.
Another shaky outing as Miikka Kiprusoff gave up 4 goals on 29 shots but all he had to be was better than Peter Budaj... and he was, so Kipper gets his first win.
Anaheim is really struggling, JS Giguere gave up 5 goals on 22 shots to LA last night and Getzlaf, Kunitz and Niedermayer (Scott) are all pointless so far through 3 games.
We're still laughing about Tampa's offseason talk about how they couldn't understand why everyone was questioning their D-core, they thought it was fine. Well fine enough that they've brought in 3 new faces in the past 2 weeks... Marek Malik is the latest, another questionable move as this guy was widely described as being a cancer in the NYR dressing room last year.
Looking forward to the Edmonton-Anaheim game tonight, not sure if Kevin Lowe will be there but would love to lock him and Brian Burke in an elevator and then stop it between floors for about 5 minutes.

- Jochen Hecht also had finger surgery and will be out for at least 2 weeks.
- PM Bouchard is day-to-day with a nagging back injury.
- Viktor Kozlov has a banged up knee and will be out for 2 weeks.
- Petr Sykora played last night, so he appears to be recovered from his groin injury.
- Steve Downie also played his first game of the season.
Distraction of the Day
What's distracting us today... alright Canada has a big election yesterday but leave it to the Chinese to steal the spotlight... check out this picture of a lion riding a horse to celebrate the 59th anniversary of the founding of communist China... that may be the coolest thing we've ever seen... is there anything that these people can't do? unbelievable.
