Pretty much no news to report, so we'll keep it brief...
The Flames have re-signed backup goalie Curtis McElhinney to a two-year, one-way contract so he'll be their backup again next year and given that GM Darryl Sutter was pretty pissed that Kiprusoff was overworked the past few years, you can bet that if Darryl is the coach (which we suspect) or if its anyone else, that McElhinney will get way more than the six starts he saw this season.
Despite many false starts, Detroit now says that they hope and are planning for Pavel Datsyuk to return for tonight's game #5. We'll believe it when we see it but sounds like we'll see it tonight.
What's distracting us today? With only at most three NHL games left for us to watch this season we've started to think what we are going to do with our time. We might have to resort to watching baseball but we think we found an even better alternative:
