Dosage Express
PK picks it up... The Hammer comes down... Pyatt and Moore surprise... Halak and Leighton switch places... Like A Bettman

Daily Diarrhea

Ok what the hell is going to happen next in the playoffs?  The Flyers looked to be in control of the series after two blowout wins in Philly.  We expected a close game and maybe even a Habs win.  But what happens?  A 5-1 drubbing!  Crazy.

SubbanBig stat line of the night belonged to rookie PK Subban.  He picked up three assists and a +3 in over 18 minutes of work.  He only had one point in his last seven games so it's good to see him get it going again.  Big time breakout potential for next season... hard to believe he lasted to 2nd round (43rd overall in 2007)

Roman Hamrlik got in on the action last night with two helpers and a +4.  That's eight points in the playoffs for The Hammer... not bad considering he had only 26 this season.

HalakThe goalies had a reversal of fortune last night as Jaro Halak shut the door (25 saves on 26 shots) while Michael Leighton imploded (33 saves on 38 shots).  Welcome to reality Mr. Leighton.  So who's man enough to predict what's going to happen next in this series?  We really thought Leighton would be solid after shutting out the Habs for two games straight... now, we've got no idea what to think.

Tom Pyatt and Dominic Moore also played well, as they picked up 1+1=2 apiece.  Nice to get some production from some unexpected places isn't it Hab fans?  Pyatt had five points this season while Moore had 28.

Injury Update

Craig Rivet should be ready for the start of the season after undergoing surgery for a torn labrum.  Not that you should really care... he's 35 and scored only 15 points last year (although he did have 100 PIM's)

Your daily Jeff Carter update: He's skating but will not play tonight.  Sounds like he'll be back this season though.

Daily Distraction

What's distracting us today?  One of this scouts guilty pleasures is cranking up The Lonely Island every now and again (particularly this one).  So you can imagine how pumped we were when we saw our buddies over at Bloge Salming did a parody of The Lonely Island song Like A Boss.  Like a Bettman might just be the best Bloge video to date... check it out:
