Dosage Express
Toews takes over... Samuelsson off... Briere with multiples in 5 of 6... Recchi defies age... eyes on AHL... Gagne makes nice return... a towel waving party

Daily Diarrhea

Toews Jonathan Toews took advantage of some stupid penalties taken by the Canucks as he notched the hat-trick and also added two assists last night.  He now has a crazy 5+12=17 in his last seven games and moves into the lead in playoff scoring with 18 points.

Patrick Sharp had a four point night for the Hawks and he's had a number of big games in these playoffs as he has 5+6=11 in his last seven.

This is why Mike Samuelsson has never been a big fantasy contributor, no consistency.... after 7+4=11 in the six games against LA, he's now only 1+1=2 in the four games in against Chicago and was bumped from the Sedin's line.

Briere Danny Briere has multi-point games in five of his last six for a total of 5+6=11 in his last six.  He's come up big in the playoffs in the past, especially with Buffalo, and he's doing it again this year.  I think fantasy GMs would like to see him do a little more in the regular season.

The amazing Mark Recchi continued to come up big for the Bruins as he had two goals last night, including the late goal to tie it up, and has 4+2=6 in his last five games... the 42-year old leads the Bruins in playoff goals with six.

Calgary won the WHL title last night, taking out Tri-City in five games... one guy we've had our eye on during the playoffs has been dman Matt MacKenzie, he's draft eligible this year and has stepped up in the playoffs with 6+10=16 in 23 games.

Bernier_J From the AHL playoffs... Manchester finished off Worcester in the 2nd round led by some unreal goaltending by Jonathan Bernier as he's 8-2 with a 1.48 & .952 through two rounds.  It was a little surprising to see Jamie Benn go down to the AHL after an 82 game NHL rookie season but he's making the most of it as he was 3+2=5 last night and is 7+6=13 in nine playoff games for Texas.

Injury Updates

Simon Gagne returned to action last night after missing four games with a broken toe and picked a good time to pot his first goal of the playoffs as he had the OT winner to keep the Flyers alive for at least one more game.

Daily Distraction
