Daily Diarrhea

Eager, benIt's not often we talk about the exploits of Ben Eager in this space so we'll take this opportunity.  He scored the GWG in only 4:03 of playing time last night.  Not bad for a guy that scored only seven all year.  He even got a towel shot at him thanks to Chris Pronger.

The goalies, particularly Antti Niemi, bounced back quite nicely yesterday.  Niemi was great in the third as he stopped 14 of 15 shots (32 of 33 overall) to give the Hawks a 2-0 lead.  Michael Leighton stopped 24 of 26 when many (including us) thought he should have been on the bench.

Toews, jonathanStill no Stanley Cup points for either Patrick Kane or Jonathan Toews... or this might be more evidence that Chris Pronger is a hockey god.

Giroux, claudeThe Flyers second line (Dan Briere, Scott Hartnell and Claude Giroux) was held off the scoresheet last night.  Surprising as they were outstanding in Game #1.

Dan Carcillo returned to the rink and even played the first two periods alongside Mike Richards and Jeff Carter on L1.  In the third, he played only three shifts as Philly was looking for the equalizer.  Car Bomb didn't have much impacy so he might be back on the bench.  Which works just fine for us as we don't want to live in a world where Carcillo plays over James van Reimsdyk

The Flyers made one other change.  Ryan Parent was out (after playing only 41 second in Game #1) and Oskars Bartulis was in.  Bartulis played just over 10 minutes and was -1.
It looks like Marian Hossa might finally get a Cup... he's definitely helping his own cause.  He picked up a goal last night and now has three points in two games.

Injury Updates

Ladd, andrewAndrew Ladd missed Game 2 last night with his undisclosed UBI.  Sounds like he's day-to-day but it's tough to tell in playoff coach talk.

Daily Distraction

What's distracting us today?  What's the deal with Chris Pronger?  Dude is on fire this playoffs.  No we're not talking about his play, we're talking about his comedy show.  Gold:
