Injury Updates - Oct 16th, 2010

For a consolidated list of injuries & current status, see our Injury Updates page.

Tough night for the Rangers as Chris Drury returned from a finger injury but then re-broke the same finger and is out for another six weeks and Marian Gaborik took a hit from Colby Armstrong and suffered a separated shoulder that will keep him out 2-4 weeks.

In addition, the Rangers decided that Vinny Prospal's knee wasn't healing with the rest so he'll go under the knife and this could knock him out for most of the season.

Keith Ballard left last night's game early due to a shoulder injury... not sure on the extent yet.

Pascal Leclaire's injury was actually to his groin and occurred prior to the crease pile-up the other night.  The word is that he'll be out for at least a week and then he'll be re-evaluated but with his luck and history of recoverability, we can see this lingering on.

Patrick Kane missed last night's game due to influenza and he could miss tonight's as well.

Making his season debut last night for the Ducks was Toni Lydman and it was a beauty as he scored and chipped in 2 PIMs & 5 shots.  He also played a solid 21 minutes and helped the Ducks limit the shots to 33, which was a season best and should help Jonas Hiller owners breathe a little easier.
