Daily Dosage - Dec 11th, 2010

Tomas Fleischmann with two points last night and he has 1+3=4 while averaging 17:36/gm of ice-time in his first four games with the Avs.  If you didn't take our advice off the hop and wanted to see how he did with his new team, well there you have it.  Hell, even if you don't think much of Fleischmann, don't you want the guy playing on a line with Matt Duchene & Milan Hejduk?... Duchene had two assists last night and has 7+6=13 over his last 10 games and Hejduk has 10+20=30 over his last 23 games.

Another PPG last night for Ryan Malone and he has 7+6=13 with 13 PIMs & 49 shots over his last 12 games.  This guy has never had more than 172 shots in a season, so his propensity for shooting this year (on pace for 262) is very encouraging.

Magnus Paajarvi with 1+1=2 last night to extend his point streak to five games (1+5=6).  Not sure what sparked the turnaround, maybe it was when the Oilers said they weren't going to release him for the WJCs?  He's got a ways to go before he's useful in single-year leagues but is one of the best long-term prospects for keeper leaguers.

Tom Gilbert with a PPG last night and he has 3+5=8 over his last 10 games.  He's a pretty consistent mid-level point producing dman but just doesn't offer much in enough categories to really be a great fantasy option.

Mark Giordano with two assists last night to give him 1+6=7 with 12 PIMs over his last seven games.  He played 28:31 last night and led the the Flames dmen in PP time with 5:35.

James Neal with a goal last night to extend his point streak to six games (4+4=8)... we've been talking about him a lot lately as he's putting together a solid all-around fantasy season.

The Devils have been pretty invisible offensively this year but Patrik Elias is doing his best to make himself relevant as he has 3+10=13 with 46 shots over his last 14 games.  He's even been a plus-4 over that stretch as well so he won't hurt you there.  Just beware as injuries usually catch up with this guy every year.

P.K. Subban drew back into the lineup last night for the Habs after sitting out the past three and he played 19 minutes and led the team with 1:14 of PP time.  This is a guy you want to be patient with as the payoff will be huge.

Matt Stajan was scratched last night for the Flames, I believe it was of the healthy variety... I'll let you know if I hear otherwise.

The CBJs have sent Nikita Filatov to the AHL after 0+7=7 in 23 games and frequent scratchings, keep an eye on this as he hasn't taken demotions well in the past,

Coming the other way on the AHL shuttle is the Penguins Dustin Jeffrey, who is currently 2nd in league scoring with 13+17=30 in 25 games, Oscar Moller has been re-called by the Kings after scoring at almost a point-a-game (6+11=17 in 19 games) and Dan Sexton is back up with the Ducks and scored last night.

The Senators will be releasing Robin Lehner to play at the upcoming WJCs where he's expected to carry the load for Sweden.

Linus Omark had an assist and this flashy shootout goal in his NHL debut... hats off kid and don't listen to anybody trying to tell you to "show more respect", they're just sore losers...
