Sorry about the tardiness today, I was working on a trade to get Semin in a keeper league but the other GM turned into Mike Milbury at the last minute and made a stupid deal with another team (I hope he reads this)

Sergei Kostitsyn extended his point streak to seven games with a goal last night and now has 3+6=9 & a plus-8 over that span.  He's a good short-term add right now and comes with some upside but I wouldn't be counting on him heavily.

The Flyers came back with Sergei Bobrovsky after three straight wins from Boucher and Bob got the job done by stopping 38 of 41 for the victory... and no, I have no idea what the Flyers have planned... your guess is as good as mine.... actually, expect the unexpected is probably the best advice I can give.

What can you really say about Tomas Fleischmann?  Hat-trick last night and he now has 5+5=10 in seven games with the Avs.  Flash deserves credit here and good linemates certainly help but what about Joe Sacco?... whenever a rookie, call-up or new acquisition steps into the lineup, he gets incredible results out of them.

Don't look now but Corey Crawford has lost three in a row and is 3-2-1 with a 3.17 & .884 over his last six starts.  Luckily Turco hasn't proven to be a viable option lately so look for them to let Crawford play through it.

Drew Stafford has only played in two of the past 17 games for the Sabres but he has 4+1=5 in those two games, including a hat-trick last night, so the rest seems to be serving him well.  He's got 8+5=13 in 16 games this year so the key for him is to try to stay healthy.

Ilya Kovalchuk with his first multi-goal game with the Devils last night and he now has 3+3=6 over his last five games and might be starting to come around.  This is helping Travis Zajac as well as he has 1+5=6 over his last five (4 PPPs).

Was watching some of the Devils game last night and they were using all forwards on both PP units.  We're not surprised as we're not big fans of Andy Greene and he's their best option... he has no points and is a minus-7 over his last nine games.  Maybe Anssi Salmela gets a look on the PP eventually, he returned last night.

Rich Peverley with a goal last night and he has 5+4=9 over his last 11 games... I think he slips under the radar of a lot of GMs but he's the #1C on a high-powered Thrashers club and is 2nd amongst the team's forwards (behind Ladd) in avg TOI (18:34/gm) & PP time (3:07/gm).

The Sharks Justin Braun keeps surprising as he had another assist last night and has 1+7=8 over his last 10 games without getting much PP time (he has only one PPP).

Nikolay Zherdev moved up to a line with Carter & JVR and had two points last night... he now has 3+1=4 over his last four games with a healthy scratch thrown in there.  This is what you can get from this guy but you just won't get it consistently.

Only 2+2=4 over his last 10 games for Ville Leino and he's seen his ice-time drop off to around 12 minutes over the past two games.

Ryan Kesler with a hat-trick last night and he has 5+2=7, plus-4, 6 PIMs & 12 shots over his last four games.  He's increased his points-per-game rate in each of his six NHL seasons but he might have trouble doing that this year... but he is on pace for 42 goals which would blow away his previous high of 26 and combined with close to 100 PIMs & 250 shots and you have a bona fide six-category stud on your hands.

Roberto Luongo with another win last night and he's now 7-1-0 over his last eight starts with a 1.85 & .924.  His numbers for the season (2.52 & .912) are a little hurt by his typical slow start but they should be very solid by the end of the year.

The notable healthy scratches last night were Tyler Seguin and Dmitry Kulikov.
