Injury Updates - Dec 19th, 2010

I guess the flu could be considered an upper-body injury
I guess the flu could be considered an upper-body injury

For a consolidated list of injuries & current status, see our Injury Updates page.

Phoenix is playing the misdirection game as well as we were led to believe that Ilya Bryzgalov was out due to the flu but turns out he also has a UBI that has kept him out for the past two games... he's likely to miss Monday's game as well.

Bad news for all of you that are relying on Rick DiPietro this year (which hopefully isn't more than one or two of you)... his knee has swollen up, so he sat out last night's game.

Steve Sullivan sat out the 3rd period of last night's game due to a LBI... doesn't sound serious but his status is TBD.

Matt Taormina has missed the past 15 games due to a high ankle sprain... he's now suffered a setback and his progress will be halted as he's stopped skating.

There was some hope but Patrick Kane (ankle) and Marian Hossa (LBI) are both out for tonight's game.

Returning to action from the injured list last night:  Teemu Selanne, Matt Cullen, Erik Johnson & Christian Ehrhoff.
