Fantasy Stars of the Week - Week#11

New, 4 comments

The biggest and brightest from the past week in Fantasy Land...

Three Stars of the Week:

3rd Star, from the Atlanta Thrashers, numero 39, Tobias Enstrom... the top dman of the week with 2+3=5, 10 PIMs & 9 shots over four games.

2nd Star, from the New York Islanders, numero 30, Dwayne Roloson... wow, an Islander makes the three stars, live it up Long Islanders... Rollie won three games last week while only allowing three goals.

1st Star, from the Pittsburgh Penguins, numero 87, Sidney Crosby... dominant all-around week as he had 4+3=7, plus-4, 4 PIMs & 25 shots.

Rookie Star of the WeekEvgeny Dadonov, Fla - recently called up and has eight points in his first eight NHL games this year including 1+3=4 over three games last week.

Breakout Star of the WeekErik Karlsson, Ott - slow week for breakout candidates and Karlsson did all his damage in one game as he had 2+1=3 and is on pace for a sweet breakout with 18+34=52.

Breakdown of the WeekMartin Brodeur, NJ - tough to decide who is more undeserving, Marty or his teammate Ilya Kovalchuk... Marty had 3L with a 4.88 gaa & .768 sv% while Kovy had no points and was minus-5... and they both contributed greatly to getting their coach fired.

Free Agent Star of the Week (less than 50% owned in Yahoo!):  Dwayne Roloson, NYI (9% owned) - Rollie gets the nod here as he was probably barely owned in any leagues when the week began... we still wouldn't recommend him, unless you're extremely desperate.
