The Preds Sergei Kostitsyn extended his point streak to four games last night (1+4=5) while playing a season high 16:47 with 3:51 on the PP.  He's also been a solid plus-6 over his last four games and seems to be clicking with Erat & Goc.  Before this stretch he had three points in his first 19 games.

Jeff Tambellini with another goal last night and he has 3+3=6 over his last six games since being re-called.  He's seeing time on the 2nd line with Kesler & Raymond and a little PP time, so those of you in deep leagues should take a look.

Corey Crawford stopped 28 of 31 Stars shots to pick up the win and that's seven in a row for him.  We updated the status of this Crease Conflict yesterday and we're getting close to anointing Crawford as the #1... which we don't do flippantly, so when we do it means that we think he'll be the #1 for a while.

Another conflict that we updated yesterday was in Nashville as Anders Lindback stopped 35 of 37 to beat the Wings at the JLA last night and he improved his numbers to 5-1-2, 2.64 & .919.  We're not predicting it will happen but, especially with Barry Trotz, it's not preposterous to think Lindback could make a real charge at the #1 job here.

Remember when Sergei Bobrovsky was 11-2-1, 2.01 & .934?... good times.  Well since then he hasn't been terrible but he's slipped a little (ok, a lot) going 3-2-2, 2.82 & .898 over his last eight games.

Matt Carle had a slow start to the season but after a nice run lately with 1+8=9 & plus-7 over his last 10 games, he's right back on pace to come close to last year's 35 points with a strong plus/minus.

Colin Wilson has a nice run going as he scored last night and has 4+2=6 over his last seven games... we love the potential here but his ice-time will surely fluctuate playing under Trotz and the kid doesn't shoot the puck enough (only 38 shots through 27 games)... I'll be passing for the time being.

James Neal with two points last night and he has 3+4=7 during a five game point streak... life is good when you're playing with Brad Richards as Neal's on pace for 33+45=78 with 88 PIMs & 249 shots.

Sidney Crosby extended his point streak to 17 games with two more goals last night and this isn't no wimpy single-assist-game streak, he's had goals in 13 of the 17 games and multiple points in 12 of 17... this streak is getting epic but lets not lose our heads here as the record for longest point streak is 51 games set by Wayne, so Sid has a ways to go.

We don't think too much of Chris Kunitz but you have to be expecting him to cash in on the streak as well as he had three helpers last night and has 1+6=7 & a plus-8 over his last four games.

Mark Letestu had two goals last night and we haven't heard much from him in a while as those were his first goals in 23 games and he only has 2+5=7 over that span.

Back-to-back two pointers for Dave Bolland and he's been featured on the PP a little more lately (5:34 on the PP last night, averages 2:12 on the season) with Hossa & Kane out.

Jonathan Toews has really been picking up the slack for his fallen teammates as he has 8+4=12 with 38 shots over his last 10 games... but his pace for the season would still only put him at 70 pts, so don't be overrating him.

Jeremy Morin with his first NHL goal last night and he played a season high 14:21... so this could make things interested when it's time for him to go to the US WJC camp next week.

Linus Omark has been called up by the Oilers and while he's been good in OKC (13+13=26 in 26 games) he hasn't been scoring five goals every night... since his big game a few weeks back, he's been 3+6=9 over his last 11, so keep your expectations in check.
