For a consolidated list of injuries & current status, see our Injury Updates page.

Marc Savard got his "bell-rung" yesterday after being run over and while he said he felt fine afterwards, you have to be concerned about this when it's a guy with his history of concussions.

Wayne Simmonds left last night's game with a LBI and he'll be re-evaluated today but the coach said after the game that he didn't think it was too serious.

Steven Kampfer suffered a broken nose yesterday and he left the game early... not sure if it will keep him out for long.

Chris Mason left last night's game with a knee injury... no word on the extent.

Ryane Clowe sat out last night's game due to an undisclosed injury... we don't know much about this one yet either.

Good news on Jimmy Howard as the Wings say that they're hoping he can return on Tuesday from his bruised knee.

The official diagnosis on Tomas Holmstrom's broken hand is that he'll be out 3-4 weeks.

Speculation is that Ryan O`Reilly could miss the rest of the season if he needs shoulder surgery.

Eric Fehr is expected to miss 3-4 weeks with a shoulder injury and he's had troubles with both his shoulders in the past so this isn't a good sign.

Steve Sullivan has missed the past 10 games with a LBI and while the team isn't saying much, Sullivan hasn't been skating lately so that seems to indicate that he'll be out for a while longer.

As suspected, reports say that Ryan Whitney will likely need surgery on his ankle and will miss the rest of the season.

Here's another splash of good news amongst reams of crappy news... Niklas Backstrom could return today from his hip injury although he's only expected to dress as the backup.

Returning to action from the injured list last night:  Martin Erat, Rick DiPietro, Logan Couture & Jean-Sebastien Giguere.
