Don't call it a comeback... yet.
Don't call it a comeback... yet.

My lord, here we go again... Peter Forsberg will start practicing with the Avs to see how his feet hold up and determine if he can make another comeback.  With all the issues and attempted comebacks he's had, I'm skeptical he'll even be able to get himself healthy enough to play but we shall see.  I won't be grabbing him in any leagues, I'll let someone else deal with that headache.

The streak of the moment goes to Mike Ribeiro as he had 3A last night to give him 4+11=15 (seven PPPs) during an 11 game point streak.  I like this guy and he's typically good in the 2nd half but it's all about assists & PPPs with him.

Two assists for Scott Gomez last night and the #1 overall pick (by yours truly) in the 2nd Half Draft is off to a fine start with 2.00 points-per-game so far.  He now has 2+14=16 (eight PPPs) in his last 18 games but he's still got some holes in his game as he's a minus-7 and barely over two shots a game over his last 18.

A PPG for P.K. Subban last night and he's been filling up the stat sheet lately with 3+4=7, plus-3, 13 PIMs & 20 shots over his last nine games... another player I think will have a big 2nd half.

Michael Grabner has goals in four straight and 5+1=6 & 21 shots during a five game point streak but let's not give him too much credit for last night's pair as one was a shot from the corner that went in off a dman and the second was an ENG... I'll be passing.

Jarome Iginla with a pair of points last night and while the Flames are sliding, Iggy is still producing as he has 4+5=9 over his last seven games.

David Moss only has points in five of his last 12 games but four of them were multi's (included 2+1=3 last night) and in aggregate it looks pretty decent, 7+3=10 in 12 games.

Cory Stillman extended his point streak to six games with a goal last night, he has 2+5=7 during the run.

Jamie Benn also has a six-pack of games with points for 4+5=9 in total.

Another score last night for James Neal and he has six goals over his last six games and quietly has himself on pace for 34 goals on the season.

Two quick goals (five steamboats apart) on eight shots last night for Nathan Gerbe... his confidence seems to be growing as he has 4+1=5 & 27 shots over his last six games and played a season high 20 minutes last night.

Tim Connolly is supposedly nursing an injury, either that or the coach isn't happy with his play as he's only played around 12 minutes in each of the past two games.

The Avs brought T.J. Galiardi back up after a one AHL game as they need him to step up with Fleischmann gone.
