Dave Bolland continued his hot streak with two more PPPs and he has 5+3=8 & a plus-6 during a five game point streak... he could be a nice under-the-radar add/trade target as he's only on pace for 41 points right now.

Dustin Byfuglien is going through a rough patch as he doesn't have a point over his last eight games but he's actually been shooting at a rate lately, 5.25/gm, which is higher than his already prolific pace for season (4.16/gm) so I think he'll snap out of this soon.

Not going to lie, I'm enjoying Daniel Alfredsson's downfall, as I hate this guy... he now has 3+3=6, minus-6 & 23 shots over his last 15 games and is on pace for only 46 points.

No idea what happens next with Evgeni Nabokov after he refused to report to the Islanders... they could make him sit or they could put him back on waivers and maybe he lets it be known that he's not going to play for anyone but Detroit???  We'll just have to wait and see but there's enough question mark that I'll be passing on him.

Bruins rookie Brad Marchand with a big game yesterday, 2+2=4, SHG, plus-4 & four shots... he's shown some great chemistry with Bergeron lately and has 8+5=13 & plus-17 over his last 15 games.  Speaking of Patrice Bergeron, nice game for him as well with 1+2=3, plus-3 & seven shots... he now has 8+7=15 & a plus-13 over his last 10 games.

Logan Couture with another goal last night and he has goals in three straight games... like you didn't already know that.  He's well ahead of all rookies in goals & shots.

Antti Niemi has rhymed off four straight wins and is now 7-5-0 with a 2.17 & .931 over the past month.

Another point for Scott Gomez and you know I'm going to keep mentioning him because of this... he now has 2+15=17 over his last 19 games.

The surge from P.K. Subban continues as he had a PPA last night to go along with two PIMs and six shots... he played 26:18 with 7:52 on the PP.

Quite the 180 degree turn this week from Max Pacioretty as earlier in the week it was thought he was lost for a while with a rib injury but he's returned and put up back-to-back two-pointers after notching two PPGs last night.  I think we're witnessing the emergence of this kid, he should be a good one.

Nothing cures what ails a player like a visit to the Leafs... Alex Ovechkin ripped off a hat-trick last night on eight shots on goal.  Hopefully this will get him going as he only had six goals in his last 30 games coming into last night.

Braden Holtby stopped 35 of 36 shots to pick up back-to-back victories for the Caps but let's not forget about context as he beat the Islanders & Leafs.

Alex Pietrangelo has five assists, plus-4 & 13 shots over his last five games and although he doesn't technically qualify as a rookie, he's having a very impressive first full NHL season.

Patrik Berglund scored last night and has himself on a nice five game point streak with 3+3=6... I think this guy has huge upside but it's concerning me that we're only seeing flashes of it and we're already part way through his third season, we should be seeing more by now.

Great game for Alexander Edler with 2G, plus-2, two PIMs & seven shots... this guy is on pace to improve for the fourth straight season and could top 50 points.

Two more helpers for Brian Rolston and his surprising run continues as he has 2+6=8 & a plus-6 over his last six games.

Been talking up Fedor Tyutin lately and he scored again last night and has 4+8=12 over his last 14 games.

Didn't take long for the Canucks coaches to sour on Sergei Shirokov after he scored in his first game, only played seven minutes in his second game and was scratched in his third game last night.

The Sens have sent down Bobby Butler down after another three game stretch with no points.

The Rangers have called Michael Del Zotto back up after a stint in the AHL where he had 7A in eight games.  Evgeny Grachev also got the call, I don't think much of him but he's been hot lately with six goals in his last three games.
