Four two-pointers in the last five games (3+5=8) for Tyler Ennis and he's been dangerous on the PP with six PPPs in his last five games.  Ennis' little buddy, Nathan Gerbe, also had two points yesterday and he now has 5+3=8 over his last eight games... both these guys are really stepping up (pardon the short jokes) with Roy, Connolly & Stafford out.

4A for Claude Giroux yesterday to extend his point streak to six games where he has 2+8=10, plus-10 & 16 shots... don't think he's really getting the pub he deserves this year as he now leads the Flyers in scoring and is 13th in the league during an outstanding breakout season.

Jay & I made a trade for Patrik Elias yesterday, been targeting him for a while as he's a guy that consistently produces and he may have been a little underrated this year due to a slow start (2+3=5, minus-10 & 1.8 spg over his first 13) but he's been very steady since with 11+20=31, plus-3 & 2.9 spg over his last 34 games.

I knew Michael Frolik was struggling but didn't realize that he's now gone nine games without a point... man, I am not-so-patiently waiting for this guy to breakout but it looks like it may not be this year either.

Brian Rolston with two more points yesterday, both on the PP, and he continues his surprising run with 3+7=10 in his last seven games.  I would not be counting on him for the long-term but he might be worth a look if you're desperate.

With another goal yesterday, Steven Stamkos moves himself past Sidney Crosby into the lead in the scoring race and while Crosby missing the past eight games has helped, don't discount what Stamkos has done as he's been hot lately with 7+3=10 during a six game point streak.

One of Jay's big picks in the 2nd Half Draft, Simon Gagne, had two goals yesterday... combine that with some other pockets of production and he's had five of his eight goals this season in his last seven games.  So I guess this is a step in the right direction but I still think he has a long ways to go before he's helping fantasy GMs out.

Dwayne Roloson only had to stop 21 of 22 for the win yesterday... he's now won three straight and six of nine for Tampa.

Two more assists for Cory Stillman to extend his point streak to seven games where he has 2+7=9.

Sergei Bobrovsky with his fifth straight win yesterday as he stopped 30 of 31 to beat Chicago... looks like he's starting to overtake Brian Boucher although I wouldn't discount anything happening with the Flyers goalies.

Jacob Markstrom was called up Saturday and made his NHL debut yesterday in relief of Scott Clemmensen, allowing two goals on 14 shots and he took the loss.  He's had a rough start to his AHL career but has come on of late (2.55 & .924 over the past two months) and is still one of the best goalie prospects out there.

The Leafs have re-called goalie James Reimer from the AHL and the rumour is that Jonas Gustavsson could be heading to the AHL on a conditioning assignment soon.  So good news for Reimer owners as it seems he's proven to the Leafs brass that he deserves to be with the big club.

Vancouver sent Sergei Shirokov down to the AHL after two games, actually really only one and a half and he scored in his first game... that's not cool.
