Tuesday's Injury Updates - Savard, Malkin, Prospal...

For a consolidated list of injuries & current status, see our Injury Updates page.

Not really surprising... the Bruins are considering shutting Marc Savard down for the rest of the season.  He was dropable even before this news. [more]

Evgeni Malkin practiced yesterday but he won't play tonight.  He says the knee is fine and the sinus infection is the problem but then Bylsma talked about his nagging knee injury when discussing his situation... very mysterious.

No real update on David Jones' shoulder injury other than to say that he's out indefinitely... as we mentioned before, recall that he missed almost half a season two years ago with a shoulder injury.

Alexander Semin has missed the last nine games with a groin injury but he's getting real close and may be able to return tonight.

Evander Kane is questionable for tonight's game with his mid-body injury.

There's a chance that Ryan O`Reilly (shoulder) returns tonight.

Vinny Prospal (knee) has been cleared to play and could make his season debut on Thursday.

Andy McDonald (concussion) continues to practice and he might be able to play on Friday.

Chris Mason skated on his own yesterday so he's making some progress in his rehab from a knee injury.

Michal Neuvirth (LBI) practiced for the first time in two weeks yesterday but we're still not sure when he'll be able to return.
