Fantasy Stars of the Week - Week#18

The biggest and brightest from the past week in Fantasy Land...

Three Stars of the Week:

3rd Star, from the New York Islanders, numero 36, Travis Hamonic... 1+3=4 with eight shots and a whopping 29 PIMs in four games last week.

2nd Star, from the New Jersey Devils, numero 1, Johan Hedberg... three wins and only four goals allowed last week as he filled in for the injured Brodeur (who was last week's 1st star btw).

1st Star, from the New York Islanders, numero 40, Michael Grabner... weeks don't get any bigger than this as he had 8+1=9, plus-7 with 23 shots over four games.

Rookie Star of the WeekMichael Grabner, NYI - obviously.

Breakout Star of the WeekMichael Grabner, NYI - he's only on pace for 49 points this year so he may not officially breakout but with a few more weeks like this last one he might get there by the end of the month.  Have to throw a bone to Drew Stafford as typically two hat-tricks in a week would get him a Star... not this week.

Breakdown of the Week:  Peter Forsberg, Col - there was lots of hype but Forsberg flopped this past week as he had no points and was a minus-4 in two games and then announced his retirement on Monday.  Plenty of other high profile guys had crappy weeks as well... Mike Green, Nicklas Backstrom, Joe Thornton & Carey Price to name a few.

Free Agent Star of the Week (less than 50% owned in Yahoo!):  Michael Grabner, NYI (36% owned) - Our very first clean sweep of the Stars as Grabner ticks all the boxes but is still being shunned in nearly two out of every three leagues.  Honourable mention to our 2nd Star, Hedberg (18% owned), and 3rd Star, Hamonic (3% owned).
