Wednesday's (and Tuesday's) Injury Updates - Lawson, Zidlicky, Duchene...

New, 7 comments

There were some concerns that Max Pacioretty would miss some time with an arm injury he suffered on Saturday night.  He managed to play last night and even scored, keeping his scoring streak alive at five (4+2=6)

Nathan Lawson returned from the injury list and picked up the win last night by stopping 31 of 34 shots.  You'd have to be pretty desperate to be rolling Lawson out there every game.

Marek Zidlicky has been out since Dec 29th with a shoulder injury.  He's getting close to returning to the lineup.  He's expected to return on Sunday.  Check the wire out to see if he was dropped... he was playing at a .67 ppg pace before the injury.

Matt Duchene left Monday's game early with a hand injury.  We should hear more about this today.

Sergei Gonchar left the game last night early with an LBI.  No word yet if he'll make the Sens next game on Friday.

We've already talked about this on the site but we'll make it official by putting it in a Dosage.  Peter Forsberg is officially retired.  We hope you heeded our advice (and not the other guys) as we were telling you this wasn't a risk worth taking.

Bryan McCabe looks to be ready to return from his jaw injury.  He probably won't be ready for Wednesday but Friday is looking good.

Martin Brodeur is back practicing but no official timetable for his return.  Sounds like about a week more.

Mike Green missed the Caps game on Monday night.  No word yet if this is connected to the puck he took in the noggin last week.

Ed Jovanovski took a puck to the chops.  His jaw apparently swelled up pretty good but he continued to play.  Nails.

Returning from injury: Mathieu Darche and Marcel Goc
