Well the good news is Gaborik's groin is healthy.
Well the good news is Gaborik's groin is healthy.

Marian Gaborik missed the final two periods with a concussion last night.  The injury didn't happen in yesterday's game as Gabby has been bothered by it for awhile.  Coach Tortorella cleared things up.... "It didn’t happen this game. I’m not sure when it happened... he’s been off and on. I don’t know when it happened."  Wait that didn't clear things up at all.  Thanks Torts.  Looks like he won't be going on the road trip but who knows how long he'll be out, concussions are tricky things.

We are supposed to be getting some official info on Mikko Koivu's injury today in the mean time a bit of info has been trickling out.  It's a finger injury and it's quite serious, might even need surgery.

Mike Cammalleri returned after missing 12 games with a shoulder injury.  He only played 12:47 (with no points) so it looks like he'll get eased back into the lineup.  If you've got a good alternative you might want to give Cammalleri a few more games on the bench.

Jordan Staal was hit in neck with the puck of a Kris Letang slapper in the OT period yesterday.  No word on severity yet.  The Penguins forwards without Crosby, Malkin and Staal look about as good as the Leafs.  Ouch.

Matt Duchene is expected back at practice tomorrow so it's looking like his hand injury won't keep him out much longer.  Phew.

According to coach Paul Maurice Joni Pitkanen should be ready to play on Tuesday.  So now you know.

Returning to action: Mike Richards, James Wisniewski and Hal Gill
