Another scare for the scary Pronger but he's OK
Another scare for the scary Pronger but he's OK

For a consolidated list of injuries & current status, see our Injury Updates page.

Chris Pronger left last night's game after taking a shot off the hand but nothings busted so he should be fine to go for Saturday's game.

Nicklas Backstrom has a small fracture in his thumb but he's a tough guy so he's gonna play tonight anyway.  Mike Green has missed six of the past seven with that head injury but he's expected to be in the Caps lineup tonight as well.

Erik Karlsson missed Wednesday's game due to a UBI but he was back at practice yesterday, so it doesn't appear to be too serious.

Brad Richards skated for the first time since he suffered that concussion back on Feb 13th, so a good sign that he's making progress.

Marcel Goc will have surgery on his injured shoulder and is done for the season... somewhere the guy that's in last place in your pool and was counting on Goc is shedding a tear.

Jaroslav Halak has missed the past five with a hand injury but there's a chance that he might be able to return tonight.

The Penguins could get some combination of Paul Martin (UBI), Dustin Jeffrey (leg) and Mark Letestu (knee) back for tonight's game as all three took part in practice yesterday.

Mike Modano is expected to return on Saturday after missing the past three months with a nasty wrist injury.

Returning to action from the injured list last night:  Ryan Suter & Sergei Kostitsyn.
