For a consolidated list of injuries & current status, see our Injury Updates page.

Evgeni Malkin returned after missing five games with a knee injury/sinus infection but he had to leave the game early with what was definitely a knee injury, and it didn't look pleasant.  He'll be re-evaluated today but it wouldn't surprise me if this was the last straw and this guy is out a while.

Jaroslav Halak is day-to-day with a suspected hand injury... it's being called "minor" so hopefully it won't keep him out long.

There was some question if Patrick Kane could play last night but he was fine, he's apparently not fully recovered from the ankle injury he suffered back in December and it's expected to linger all season.

Jonas Hiller will sit out tonight's game as he's suffering from fatigue... hopefully that's all it is.

Antero Niittymaki was getting close to returning from his groin injury but he apparently suffered a set-back on Friday during practice, not sure how much longer this will keep him out.

Rick DiPietro will miss the next four to six weeks with a busted face, oh and his knee is sore as well.

Dustin Penner sat out last night's game due to the flu.

David Jones (shoulder) is expected to return tonight... ditto for Erik Christensen (knee).

Chris Mason (knee) has been activated from the IR.

Steve Sullivan is close to returning from his groin injury but he's still questionable for tonight's game.

Returning to action from the injured list last night:  Tim Connolly, Jordan Eberle & Andy McDonald.
