Thursday's Injury Updates - Samuelsson, Demers, Bergeron...

New, 2 comments

Mikael Samuelsson (leg) is still listed as day-to-day but he won't play in games 3 & 4 and there is speculation that he's done for the rest of the playoffs.

Jason Demers (undisclosed injury) had been saying that he'd be ready for game #2 but then he missed practice on Tuesday and wasn't in the lineup last night... still no word on what is bother him.

No confirmation that Patrice Bergeron (concussion) will be able to return tonight but it sounds that way as he took some contact during a skate on Tuesday and reportedly had no issues.

Guy Boucher went to great lengths yesterday to create more confusion about whether or not Pavel Kubina (concussion) is even ready to practice:

He might have been able to practice (Wednesday).  Obviously, we're not expecting him to play in the next game, but things might have progressed.

The takeaway here is to use the word "might" as often as possible, it adds mystery to whatever you're saying.

Lars Eller had shoulder surgery last week that will take him 4-6 months to rehab... well there goes my grand idea that he might be able to surprise some people next year.
