Sunday's Injury Updates - Markov, Perry, Toews...

New, 15 comments

Andrei Markov made his season debut last night following various issues with his knee over the past year. He recorded an assist on the PP and saw 17 minutes of action. Take a look to see if he is sitting on your waiver wire as he could help your team down the stretch.

Corey Perry left last night's game in the 2nd period with a shoulder injury but tests were negative (or positive, I guess you could say) and the team said afterwards that they don't believe it is serious.

We're talking about practice???... Jonathan Toews (concussion) has been practicing with the Hawks the past few days and is hoping to make his return on Tuesday.

No Sidney Crosby today, that seemed like a pretty optimistic outlook if you really thought he'd return that quickly, there is no reason to rush him back. He'll get a few more practices in this week as the Pens don't play again until Thursday.

Kris Letang (concussion) also practiced yesterday for the Pens, not sure when he'll be ready to return.

Thomas Vanek was a game-time decision last night due to the UBI he picked up on Thursday and ultimately the decision was to shelf him. Sounds like just a day-to-day thing.

TJ Brodie is out for today's game and maybe longer due to a UBI.

Martin Hanzal is day-to-day with a UBI (suspected wrist injury).

Sheldon Souray is also out day-to-day but he has the lower version of the UBI.

The Wild say that Josh Harding's LBI isn't that bad and he may even be able to dress for today's game.

Returning to action from the injured list last night: Brenden Morrow, Steve Ott & Tuomo Ruutu.
