Ilya Bryzgalov has finally figured out he prefers shutouts to thermos jokes.

The biggest and brightest from the past week in Fantasy Land, as voted by FHS writers.

Three Stars of the Week

3rd Star, from the Montreal Canadiens, P.K. Subban... three games, 3+2=5, plus-3, four PIM, two PPP, six SOG, eight hits and four blocks. He's now on pace for 8+29=37, 101 PIM and 212 SOG, and don't be surprised to see his totals climb higher than that with Andrei Markov now back in the lineup. FHS Votes: 1 second, 2 thirds.

2nd Star, from the New Jersey Devils, numero 17, Ilya Kovalchuk... over four games, Kovalchuk lit it up with 5+4=9, plus-4, three PPP, and 22 shots. At 1.11 points-per-game this year, he trails only Malkin (1.38), Giroux (1.25) and Stamkos (1.21) and Kovy is making his way back into the consideration for a top five pick in fantasy drafts. FHS Votes: 1 first, 2 seconds.

1st Star, from the Philadelphia Flyers, numero 30, Ilya Bryzgalov... three games, three wins, 0.65 GAA, .979 SV%, and two shutouts. He's finally playing like a $51 million goalie. The Flyers will be a scary team if Bryz can somehow return to his Phoenix form for the playoffs. Bryz has won five in a row with three shutouts since Philly acquired Grossman and Kubina at the deadline. FHS Votes: 3 firsts, 1 second.

HM: Jaroslav Halak (3-0,1.00 GAA, .962 SV%), Mark Giordano (3 GP, 2+2=4, plus-2, 2 PPP)

Rookie Star of the Week: Jordan Caron (BOS) with 2+3=5, plus-6, two PIM, and 12 shots. Boston's 21 year old has come out of nowhere - after scoring just 5 points in his first 30 games, he's put up eight points in his last five games.

Breakout Star of the Week: Max Pacioretty (MTL). Patches celebrated the one-year anniversary of The Stanchion Incident with his best week of the year, going 3+4=7, plus 2 with 2 PPP and 12 SOG in just three games this week. He's our breakout star this week, but really he's been breaking big all year and is now on pace for an exceptional 37+33=70, 62 PIM and 294 SOG.

Breakdown of the Week: Gotta go with the twins Henrik Sedin and Daniel Sedin. Each with no points and minus-2 for the week. They're both running at under a point per game now and that's not what you wanted out of your first rounder. I've actually got Daniel benched this week as four Tuomo Ruutu games is sounding better than two D. Sedin games, That just sounds crazy.

Free Agent Star of the Week (less than 50% owned in Yahoo! leagues): Andy McDonald (35% owned) with 2+4=6, 2 PPP, and plus-5 in four games. In his last twn games, he has 5+6=11 and he's a PP1 fixture in Hitchcock's world. If you're in the 65% of leagues where McDonald is still available, go get him.

HM: Curtis Glencross (31% owned, 3 GP, 3+3=6)

FHS: Thursday Night Live! Stars of the Week: congratulations to mjm44 and Joshhh for winning last Thursday's over/under/pick'em comp. They beat out 19 other entries to take home the big prize. Well done guys!
