Wednesday's Injury Updates - Crosby, Toews, Parenteau...

New, 4 comments

Sidney Crosby will rise from the ashes and return to the lineup on Thursday against the Rangers. The Pens said they will ease him back in by starting him on the 3rd line but you could put Sid between two of the Hanson brothers and I'd want him in my starting lineup.

Don't call it a setback... Jonathan Toews wasn't on the ice again yesterday for the second straight day but the team says not to worry about it... but I'm worried about it.

Nasty case of the Tank Flu for the Islanders P.A. Parenteau as he sat out last night's game... officially they're calling it a UBI.

The Preds left Roman Josi behind when they left on their four-game roadie as he has a UBI.

Luca Sbisa sat out Monday's game due to spasms of the back that started during the warmup... doesn't sound too serious.

Nothing definite but Corey Perry (shoulder) skated yesterday and Coach Bruce said he wouldn't be surprised if CP played tonight.

Vincent Lecavalier (broken hand) has been skating and is hoping to return next week.

Slow progress... Nicklas Lidstrom is skating a little but his ankle must be really bothering him as he's not expected to play until Saturday at the earliest.

Not an injury but Tyler Myers is out for the next three due to a suspension.

Henrik Lundqvist had a bad case of the Monday's (Tuesday edition) last night and couldn't play.

Returning to action from the injured list last night: Jakub Voracek, Kimmo Timonen, Jimmy Howard & Patrice Bergeron.
