No, this picture is not from last season... Matt Stajan does still play in the NHL.
No, this picture is not from last season... Matt Stajan does still play in the NHL.

Matt Stajan with the OT winner last night and he is back from the way dead with 2+3=5 during a four game point streak after just eight points over his first 44 games (and numerous scratchings) this season. I'm guessing he is available in most leagues, so if you're desperate, then give him a look.

Fantasy line of the night honours have to go to Carl Hagelin for his 1+2=3, plus-4, two PIMs & five shots. Things are going from nice to sweet for him lately as he now has 4+6=10 over his last 10 games. This seemed to coincide nicely with a ramping up of his ice-time.

Marty Turco looked like a guy who hadn't made an NHL start in about a year, actually he looked like he had never strapped on the pads in his life as he was a complete debacle and gave up four goals on 12 shots. YIKES, all caps.

You've got to be kidding me?... another shutout for Ilya Bryzgalov last night, he only had to stop 17 shots by the Devils for his fourth clean sheet in the past five games.

Back-to-back shutouts for Kari Lehtonen and dude has made the net a fortress lately going 8-0-1, 1.29 & .955 over his last nine games.

A deuce last night gives Steven Stamkos 13 goals in his last 13 and the magic 50 on the season.

Sven on the spot once again... Sven Baertschi scored for the second straight game last night on his only shot of the game. Expect the Flames to not be rushing their injured guys back so quickly as that'll mean that the kid has to go back to the WHL.

Consecutive 3-pointers for Brad Richards and he has 5+6=11 over his last seven games. It was looking like it was going to be the worst season of his career but a few more performances like this and he'll be in the ballpark of what people were expecting.

A goal last night for Dmitry Orlov and he now has 1+4=5 over his last five games.

Two more points for Andy McDonald gives him 4+5=9 during a six game point streak... and he's squeezing some points out of Patrik Berglund as well as the Swede now has 3+2=5 during a four game streak.

1+2=3 & four hits for Travis Hamonic last night in a team high 27:56 of ice-time... goes nicely with his 2A & 12 PIMs from last game.

Jordan Caron was on the scoresheet again and now has 4+4=8 over his last five games.

Dustin Tokarski picked up his first NHL win by stopping 33 of 34 to beat the Bruins. He added two PIMs & an assist to boot.

The Blues took the prudent course of action and let Jaden Schwartz watch a game from the pressbox last night... would probably make sense for him to get into a practice before jumping right into the lineup, so we'll see him when we see him.

The Coyotes have sent David Rundblad back to the AHL, makes sense since they never use the kid.
