Saturday's Injury Updates - Datsyuk, Skinner, Franzen, Markov...

Back tonight!
Back tonight!

Great news here as Pavel Datsyuk (knee surgery) says he's good to go and will be in the lineup tonight. He hasn't played since February 19th.

Andrei Markov was given the day off and did not play in last night's game. The Canadiens did not have a morning skate today so no one is sure if he will be in the lineup tonight.

Encouraging news here as Nicklas Backstrom has been practicing for the last three days. No word yet of a potential return date, but the idea of him coming back this season seems like a real possibility.

Johan Franzen has a back injury and is questionable for tonight's game.

Jeff Skinner was suspended two games by the NHL for kicking. The kick didn't really look malicious but doing it in the first place was just stupid. Just when he was hot, too.

Panthers Kris Versteeg (hip) and Dmitry Kulikov (knee) feel good enough to play and are expected to be in the lineup tonight.

Zach Bogosian was held out of the lineup again last night with a wrist injury. He's day to day.

I missed this yesterday but Andy McDonald is considered week to week after going down awkwardly and hurting his shoulder. I guess this is better than a concussion.

Paul Gaustad will sit out tonight's game with a UBI.

Henrik Lundqvist is apparently feeling better from the flu he had and is expected to start tonight.

Travis Zajac was a participant in a full practice yesterday so he could be getting into a game this week. I wouldn't be running to grab him in any league just yet. He looked pretty bad the last time he returned from injury this season.

Returning to action last night: Corey Perry, Luca Sbisa, Alexei Emelin
