It's all smiles for Crosby so far. How long will it last?
It's all smiles for Crosby so far. How long will it last?

He's back at it. Sidney Crosby put up three assists (one on the powerplay), plus-2, and 6 shots in his second game back from injury. He skated on a line with Matt Cooke ande Tyler Kennedy and had around the slightly less minutes (15:19) than his first game back. I still expect to see his ice time increase.

Evgeni Malkin joined the 40-goal club as he had a goal and an assist. He has a three game point scoring streak going with 2+4=6.

I'm not sure if it's worth mentioning but Matt Cooke had two goals for the second straight game. His 16 goals on the season is now a career high.

Third straight game with no points for David Clarkson but he did drop a nice PIM bomb with 16. Pretty sweet.

The line of the night goes to Jack Johnson with 1+1=2, plus-3, 2 PIM, 3 blocks, and 4 shots.

Two goals for Daniel Sedin after he'd somehow gone nine straight without any.

Didn't take long for Martin Havlat to become the hero. He scored two goals, including the GWG in OT, on 5 shots while playing over 20 minutes.

Another loss for Jimmy Howard and he's 1-3-2 since coming back from his original injury. His peripherals over that time (.908 sv% and 2.65 gaa) aren't terrible, but they're not quite the Vezina worthy stats he had been putting up prior to the injury.

Anze Kopitar with a goal and that makes goals in three straight games. He also has points in 9 of his last 10, totaling 6+5=11.

Youngster Drayson Bowman with a nice night as he had 2+1=3 and plus-3. Too bad he was probably not started by too many fantasy teams.

Kyle Brodziak put up 1+2=3 and deep leaguers may want to take note that he's got 2+3=5 over his last four games.

Mark Streit scored a powerplay goal to keep his point streak alive at four. He has 1+4=5 over that span.

I'm not really sure where this came from, but Mikhail Grabovski surpassed his entire season's PIM total in one game last night. He put up a ridiculous 25 PIMs. He even dropped the gloves to fight Chris Neil, so you know he was feeling extra saucy.

James Reimer made his third straight start and won another game while just allowing one goal (29 saves). He's looking more confident in net so he's definitely worth a look.

Tyler Ennis scored a powerplay goal and boy has he turned it on lately. He has a scorching 4+3=7 and plus-7 during a four game point scoring streak.

The highly anticipated debut for Jaden Schwartz went well. He scored a PPG which ended up being the GWG and received 13:50 of ice time.

Semyon Varlamov had a ridiculous game against the Rangers. He took the win while making 41 saves and allowing just one goal. I watched most of this game and Varly made some huge saves. The kid is riding high with wins in four straight and 9 of the last 11.

Gabriel Landeskog with a GWG, plus-1, and 2-PIM. He has 3+1=4 over his last four games and the Calder hopeful continues to impress.

Mikael Samuelsson scored a powerplay goal and he's on a mini-run with points (2+2=4) in each of his last three games.

Rising: Tim Erixon, Trevor Smith

Falling: Carter Hutton, Frederic St-Denis
