Warm and Easy Zach Parise. Shake it off!
Warm and Easy Zach Parise. Shake it off!

And the hat trick goes to...Zach Parise. He scored 3 goals (one of the PP variety) on 3 shots in just 9:36 of ice time. He was forced to leave the game after a collision in the second period. He did return at the very end of the game to play a shift so it seems he's ok. This gives him 5 goals in his last 4 games.

David Clarkson with two apples and he's been giving you points and PIMs with 4+2=6 and 28 PIM over the last seven games. He's becoming a real force in the NHL.

It seems that I've jinxed Dennis Wideman after bringing him up in this column about three weeks ago. He has just 1 assist and minus-6 over his last 10 games. Ouch.

Two assists for Patrick Sharp breaks a string of 5 consecutive games with no points. That's more like it, Patty.

Two wins in a row for Ray Emery as he made 26 saves. Looks like he's moved ahead of Corey Crawford for the time being. These two have been jockeying for what seems like all season.

The Maple Leafs finally fired Ron Wilson and gave the reins over to Randy Carlyle. His teams have generally been high scoring teams so I don't think this can hurt any of the fantasy assets in Toronto but that remains to be seen.

Josh Harding really dropped the ball last night when he allowed six goals to the Red Wings before being yanked. Look for Matt Hackett to get his chance next game. I really believe he's the better option.

Henrik Zetterberg put up 1+2=3 and that makes three straight multi-point performances for him. He has 2+6=8, plus-6, 2 PPP, and 9 shots over those three games.

Riding the coattails of Zetterberg is Valtteri Filppula. He, too, had a three point night (2+1=3) to give him three straight multi-point performances in a row with 4+3=7.

Second straight three point game for Niklas Kronwall. He gave you 3 assists after giving you 1+2=3 the prior game. This outburst has come out of nowhere it seems as Cam pointed out in Wednesday's Daily Dosage he had just two points in his previous 14 games.

Brendan Smith scored the first goal of his young, promising NHL career. He has 3 points in his first 5 games in the NHL. The word is that he's not going to stick with the big club for very long but that really sucks.

Ryan Getzlaf with 1+1=2 including the game winner with 46 seconds to go. It's been a really disappointing season for him which means I'll look to grab him in as many drafts as I can next season.

Teddy Purcell made it an eight game point streak when he put up 1+2=3 last night. He's OVER two points per game for the streak with 5+12=17. Unreal.

Two points for Steven Stamkos (goal and assist) and he's just one point behind league leader Evgeni Malkin for the scoring title.

Second straight game with a goal and an assist for Marian Gaborik and he's rolling lately with 4+3=7 over his last four games.

Johan Hedberg (23 saves) and Jimmy Howard (19 saves) with your shutouts last night. Both came in blowout games to make them that much less impressive.

Up: Matt Hackett

Down: Justin Peters, Doug Janik
