Sunday's Injury Updates - Rask, Toews, Vokoun...

Stretching was futile for Rask yesterday
Stretching was futile for Rask yesterday

Tuukka Rask left yesterday's game early after suffering a LBI (guess: groin)... not sure on the extent.

The Hawks insist that Jonathan Toews is day-to-day but they won't confirm that he actually even has a concussion, he has missed the last six games, hasn't been skating and will miss at least the next two... I call that "out indefinitely".

Tomas Vokoun is day-to-day with a LBI that he suffered in warm-ups on Friday.

Ryan Callahan skated on his own yesterday but didn't participate in practice, so he's not likely to play today.

We're waiting for MRI results on Alexei Ponikarovsky's banged up knee.

Todd Bertuzzi should be able to go today after suffering a groin injury on Friday but if he's not in the lineup then you know why.

Cal Clutterbuck left Friday's game with a UBI, so he's iffy for today's game.

Scott Gomez is out day-to-day with an eye injury that makes it hard for him to see the net... I'm just guessing with that last part.

Zach Bogosian apparently re-aggravated his wrist injury at practice yesterday and is questionable for the Jets next game.

No idea when or how this happened but Al Montoya has another UBI... dude hasn't played in two weeks, so not sure what the deal is.

Operation shutdown for Marc-Andre Bergeron as he will have season-ending back surgery.

This still seems fishy but the Lightning say that Victor Hedman has gone through tests which reveal that he didn't suffer another concussion but they won't say what the tests do reveal. They did reveal that he may be able to return from his UBI within a week.

Returning to action from the injured list last night: Logan Couture & Johnny Boychuk.
