Talk into the mic, Max.
Talk into the mic, Max.

Max Pacioretty made it points in four straight when he put up a three-spot last night (2+1=3). He has 5+3=8 and a robust 21 shots over that span. His empty netter gave him 30 for the season and I'd bet he gets to 40 at some point during his career.

The line of the night goes to P.K. Subban with 1+2=3, plus-2, PPG, and 2 PIM. He's starting to turn it on late with 2+4=6 over his last four games.

Color me shocked that Ilya Bryzgalov is maybe the hottest goalie going right now. After blanking the Panthers last night (28 saves), he has four straight wins with two of them coming via the shutout.

Didn't realize how cold he was but Danny Briere had went 20 straight games without a goal or a multi-point effort coming into last night's game (just 6 assists). Well, he didn't get the goal, so make it 21 but he did have two assists.

Ilya Kovalchuk turned the trick on four shots last night and after going 8 straight games with no goals, he has four in his last two games.

David Clarkson hasn't taken a penalty since his 19 minute "PIM bomb" five games ago. However, he does have 3+2=5 and plus-4 over that span.

Two apples for Zach Parise and he has 4+3=7 over his last five games. His 27+32=59 over 67 games this season is not quite vintage Parise but it's about right coming off a season where he played just 13 games. Something tells me next year will be big for him.

Jordan Caron made it a three game point streak with an assist last night. He has 3+3=6 and plus-6 for the streak.

I'm getting tired of mentioning this streak but Teddy Purcell made it 11 straight games with a point as he had a goal and an assist last night. He's an otherworldly 7+15=22 for the streak.

Jack Johnson victimized his former team for the GWG last night and he has a three game point streak with 2+2=4 and plus-6 (on the Blue Jackets???).

David Backes with 2 PPG and while it looks like he won't reach 30 goals or 60 points like he did last season, he's going to end up with more PIM, shots, blocks, and PPP.

Jaroslav Halak just basically doesn't lose anymore. He has won 7 straight while giving up a total of just 10 goals. That is good for sparkling peripherals of .944 sv% and 1.40 gaa.

Jamie McGinn made it three straight games with two points last night. He's got 4+2=6 for that streak. Cam loves this guy and I can see why. He's getting more ice time in Colorado. He had about 17 minutes last night while skating on a line with David Jones and Paul Stastny.

Threes were wild last night as the super hot line of Steve Downie, Gabriel Landeskog, and Ryan O'Reilly were all minus-3 with no points.

Three assists for Jumbo Joe Thornton and that snaps a streak of three straight games with no points.

Jamie Benn with a goal and assist as he continues to play right around a point per game pace. He's got 54 points through 57 games.

Kari Lehtonen made 45 saves to beat the Sharks. He's won three in a row now and 6 of his last 7 starts.

Blake Wheeler made it three straight games with a goal last night in a loss to the Canucks.
