Kyle Turris might prefer if Spezza & Alfredsson were both scratched every game as he had 2+2=4 & eight shots yesterday. He also might like playing against the Islanders 82 games a year but it ain't gonna happen.
Man, I own Pascal Dupuis in a few leagues and wasn't fully aware how good he is going lately... two more assists yesterday to extend his point streak to 14 games (9+10=19). So that's a career-high 56 points on the season for a guy who hadn't cracked 40 since 2003.
Jakub Voracek with 2+1=3 yesterday and he has 3+4=7 over his last four games. He has matched his 46 points from last season and might make a late charge at his career-high of 50 points from 2009/10.
hahaha... Al Montoya has given up 4+ goals in five of his last eight games including 14 over his last three. Weak AHL goalies do not become strong NHL goalies, that's a fact.
Andrew Shaw with an assist & 17 PIMs yesterday and he has been rolling lately with 4+7=11 over his last nine games but the Hawks only play twice this week so he is not the ideal add.
W-SOL-W in three relief appearances for Sergei Bobrovsky after turning aside 43 of 47 yesterday against the Penguins. This is a nice little turnaround as he had lost four straight prior to that.
This is nice to see... Devan Dubnyk has gone on a nice late season run for the Oilers, he won again last night (32/33) and is 6-1-1, 1.72 & .943 over his last eight games as he auditions for the #1 job on next year's squad.
Patrice Bergeron with 17 FOWs FTW last night... oh and he added a GWG (FTW) as well.
Wayne Simmonds ran his goal streak to four games (5+1=6) with a PP tally yesterday and just to show you that he can do it all he dropped the gloves later to run his season total to 110 PIMs. What a find he has been for some of you this season after just 14 goals & 75 PIMs last year in LA.
Marc-Andre Fleury gave up five goals on 25 shots in a loss to Philly yesterday and he is now on a concern-inducing three game losing streak where he has given up 14 goals (.788 sv%).
Simon Despres was sent down to the AHL by Pittsburgh.
