Friday's Injury Updates - Price, Stepan, Parenteau, Visnovsky...

It sure doesn't look good for P.A.
It sure doesn't look good for P.A.

Johnny Boychuk couldn't go last night due to his LBI. It was revealed to be a knee sprain but they're still considering him day to day.

As reported by Calvin yesterday, Tyler Myers (foot) and Christian Ehrhoff (knee) missed last night and won't be available tomorrow night, either. The Sabres season is over anyway.

Jonathan Toews (concussion) didn't play last night and it remains to be seen if he'll chance it and try to play tomorrow.

Carey Price was diagnosed with a concussion, though they're calling it a minor one. All the same, he's shut down for the remainder of the season.

P.A. Parenteau had to leave the game yesterday after he was taken down on a breakaway. They're saying it's an ankle sprain so I'd say it's highly unlikely that he plays tomorrow.

Henrik Lundqvist has a "stinger" in his arm and served as the backup yesterday. He would have played if the game meant anything.

Derek Stepan took a knee on knee hit from Brooks Orpik and went down in a heap late in the third period. He skated off on his own power but did not return to the game. After the game, John Tortorella, upset over the hit called the Penguins "one of the most arrogant organizations in the league". We're all hoping these two teams meet in the playoffs.

A bunch of Penguins with nagging injuries will not play on Saturday due to the fact that the game is meaningless. They include: Matt Niskanen (shoulder), James Neal (undisclosed), and Steve Sullivan (LBI).

Lubomir Visnovsky was forced to leave last night's game after taking a hard hit. Reports are that it's a UBI.

Mikhail Grabovski couldn't go last night as he is still healing up from a slice to his leg.

EDIT - Michal Neuvirth had to leave the game last night after Marco Sturm landed on his left leg. It's some form of LBI and Neuvy won't start tomorrow. Thanks to Edanger6 for the heads up!

Returning last night from injury: Adam McQuaid, Jordan Caron, Radek Dvorak, Kyle Quincey (from suspension), Duncan Keith (from suspension), Jeff Petry, David Clarkson, Sergei Gonchar, David Steckel, Kevin Bieksa,
