Monday's Injury Updates - Vanek, Helm, Nilstorp...

A fantasized look at the injury news on Monday morning

Abelimages

No Thomas Vanek for the Sabres yesterday as he sat out with a mid-body muscle tweak. He's just considered day-to-day and could return Tuesday.

Darren Helm returned on Friday from his sore back but apparently had a setback and was unable to go yesterday.

Dallas rookie Cristopher Nilstorp is on the IR with a groin injury that he suffered on Saturday. Richard Bachman is up for the Stars and if this turns into a long-term absence then Bachman could have some value.

Tomas Kaberle took a puck to the chops in practice and sat out yesterday's game. He should be fine.

Daniel Alfredsson was sick like a dog and couldn't play on Sunday... get this guy some Buckley's... it tastes awful but it works.

Just a quick update... Justin Faulk is just day-to-day due to his UBI and possibly could return tonight.

Jaromir Jagr (back) is probable for tonight's game, Derek Roy (groin) is questionable and Jamie Benn is stuck in immigration trying to get his visa sorted out so he can make his season debut tonight.

A real mindblown moment here as Guillaume Latendresse returning from his undisclosed injury earlier than expected yesterday. Nobody could have anticipated that.
