A fantasized look at some news on NHL injuries.

The concussion bells are ringing for Gabriel Landeskog this time.

As Cam would say..."uh-oh"...Gabriel Landeskog couldn't play last night as he's feeling the effects of what could be a concussion. This is especially bad with how much of a physical player Landeskog is. What I don't quite understand is why he was allowed back into the game on Saturday after that crushing hit. Might have made things worse.

Word is that Kris Versteeg will make his season debut tonight and that couldn't have come at a better time for the Panthers as they have 3 goals in their last 4 games...all losses.

Patric Hornqvist was diagnosed with a sprained knee and he'll miss 3-4 weeks. Bad news for the Predators as they already have a world of trouble putting the puck in the net.

Justin Faulk couldn't give it a go as he was just too sore with a UBI. He's just day to day.

Travis Hamonic has a sprained ankle that he suffered on Sunday night and he's unlikely to play tonight. It's unclear how much time he's due to miss.

Martin Hanzal didn't play last night as he was scratched right before the game with a LBI. He managed to get through one game but right back on the shelf he goes.

Matt Niskanen won't play tonight as he's out with an ankle injury.

Listed as doubtful for tonight's game is Clarke MacArthur. He's got a hurt finger and needs to look up the term "man up."

Derek Roy was placed on injured reserve with a groin injury. The move was made specifically to make room for Benn on the active roster so I don't believe that the injury is any worse than originally feared. He's still just day to day.

Returning to action: Jamie Benn, Jaromir Jagr, Manny Malhotra
