Fantasy Hockey Injury News for Friday

New, 2 comments

A fantasized look at some injury news on a Friday morning.

Bruce Bennett

Some Penguins good news: the fact that Kris Letang practiced hard yesterday is good news for his chances to play in Florida. Some Penguins bad news: James Neal (UBI) will definitely not accompany the Penguins for this game.

The Flames placed David Jones on IR with a UBI which just sucks for him as he started the season hot with 4 points in 4 games.

Rick Nash (concussion) missed last night's game and won't play tomorrow night, either. Keep your fingers crossed that this doesn't linger and he's back soon.

Cody Franson had his face driven right into the stanchion by Mike Fisher last night. He suffered a cut nose but I'd expect him to be fine for tomorrow night.

Niklas Backstrom sat out last night's game with a knee sprain but isn't expected to miss much time.

Cal Clutterbuck (leg) got the ok and should be in the lineup for the Islanders tonight.

A pair of Ducks left the game last night with injuries. Dustin Penner (LBI) and Mathieu Perreault (LBI) are both listed as day to day.

Ryan Miller returned to the starting lineup but took the loss, allowing four goals.
