A fantasized look at the NHL injury news on Tuesday morning

Joel Auerbach

As mentioned in today's Dosage, Jimmy Howard was a last minute scratch last night so Jonas Gustavsson got the start and win vs. Boston. Gustavsson will start again tonight vs. Columbus but Howard says he should be okay for Thursday's game

Ben Bishop practiced yesterday and will start against the Kings tonight.

Nail Yakupov has been a healthy scratch for two games running but could be back tonight vs. the Penguins.

Brian Gionta will be back tonight as well after missing time for personal reasons.

Tim Thomas had a full practice yesterday but didn't travel with the team to Nashville for tonight's game. The Panthers play the Bruins Thursday, and you can bet Thomas would like to be back for that one.

Nick Bjugstad had a full practice yesterday and could be back as early tonight from the concussion he sustained in preseason.

Kris Letang has participated in a couple of practices but still no word on his return.

Beau Bennett has a UBI and will likely miss tonight's game.

Crappy news, but Stefan Noesen will miss the remainder of the season with a torn ACL and MCL.

Rick Nash was placed on IR yesterday - Yahoo! caught up to that today if you want to stash Nash in an IR slot for a bit.
