A fantasized look at the NHL Injury news on Wednesday morning

Dilip Vishwanat

We have a few new entries today from Dan Boyle to Max Pacioretty so let's make sure you are making the necessary changes in your Fantasy Hockey lineups.

Dan Boyle was stretchered off the ice after having his head slammed against the boards by Max Lapierre. Max already has a hearing scheduled with Shanaban but the good news is that Boyle is said to be feeling much better after spending the night in the hospital. It looks like he slammed his jaw in the process so we could be looking at a broken jaw but for sure concussion tests will be performed as well. We should hear more today.

Brenden Morrow was helped off the ice after a boarding hit from Brent Burns. He was absent from practice today.

Max Pacioretty ne reviendra pas au jeu ce soir, il est blesse au bas du corps. Translated as best I can, it reads that Pacioretty felt left out of the FHS latest injury news articles lately so he left the game with a LBI and did not return.

Kris Letang was a full participant in practice today so look for his return shortly.

Rick Nash is eligible to be activated from Injured Reserve today but that is not expected to happen. There has been no update on his status from the Rangers so one can only assume that he is expected to remain out longer.

With James Neal now on long-term IR, he will miss the next 5 games minimum which means he will continue to be out until the end of October

Martin St.Louis skipped practice today with a LBI and is said to be day to day. He took a Drew Doughty shot off the foot Tuesday evening and the teams next game is Thursday against the Wild. Keep an eye on the situation.

Jimmy Howard is expected to suit up for Thursday's game against the Avs but no word yet if he will be given the start. Detroit sent Petr Mrazek back down today as a result.

Michael Del Zotto (Flu) will not be in the lineup tonight against the Capitals as per Steve Zipay of Newsday. Justin Falk will take his place tonight.

James Van Riemsdyk participated in drills today while wearing a no-contact jersey. The Leafs next play Thursday so keep an eye on his situation for any updates

Jake Muzzin is apparently suffering from a knee injury and is listed as day to day

Beau Bennett did not skate today so he looks doubtful for tomorrow's game

Elias Lindholm (UBI) is not expected to play Thursday but look for him to make a return this weekend.

BREAKING Evander Kane was helped off the ice during practice today. This report is just coming in but he was said to not be putting any pressure on his right leg.
