A fantasized look at the NHL Injury news on Wednesday morning

Robert Mayer-USA TODAY Sports

If you pinned your hopes on Tim Thomas this year...well, you probably have some pretty big goaltending problems. And they just got worse - Tea Party Timmy is on the IR and will miss at least two games with a LBI.

Brent Burns will not play Thursday against Boston as he's out with a beard injury.

Mark Giordano is banged up and will be a game-time decision tomorrow.

Fantasy giant Mike Kostka will miss four to six weeks with a UBI.

Patrik Elias has the flu, but skated on his own today.

Jonas Brodin has a broken cheekbone and may not be back for a while.

Niklas Kronwall is a game-time decision tonight, but apparently it's related to his teeth, not the concussion, so that's good news, sort of.

Henrik Lundqvist owners have to be a bit nervous as the ailment that caused him to miss three practices will also hold him out of tomorrow's game.

Janik Hansen left yesterday's game and did not return.

Shane Doan did not play last night, LBI blah blah blah.

Sounds like Scott Hartnell may be back soon. He is listed as questionable for tomorrow's game.

David Jones returned to action last night.
