Fantasy Hockey Injury News for Friday

A fantasized look at some NHL injury news.

Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sport

Following up from yesterday's Pekka Rinne injury news and it's not good for his owners. Rinne is expected to miss a month after a hip scope. Run to the wire for Carter Hutton.

More bad goalie news as Cam Ward was lifted from last night's game with a lower body injury. The team is already reporting that he's expected to miss 3-4 weeks. There goes his Team Canada hopes, I guess. I don't know how comfortable I'd be putting Justin Peters into my fantasy lineup but if you're desperate, have at it. The smarter move might be a preemptive Anton Khudobin pickup.

The goalie sadness train continues to Josh Harding as he suffered an undisclosed injury last night and couldn't come out for the third period. This really sucks for him as he'd been one of the best goalies in the league coming into the game.

Jeff Skinner left last night's tilt with an upper body injury. The only news we have is that the injury is not concussion related.

The Bruins have confirmed that Loui Eriksson did, indeed, suffer a concussion. He's out indefinitely.

Kris Letang (knee) should be in the lineup for the Penguins tonight so get him into yours if you own him.

Joffrey Lupul, who left practice yesterday with a foot injury had some good news on his X-rays as they came back negative. Supposedly it's just a bruise so I'd expect him to play tonight.

Dan Boyle (concussion) joined his teammates in Boston but it wasn't to get into the game. It's unclear how much longer he will remain out.

Roman Josi participated in practice fully yesterday but did not dress for the game. He should be back any day now, however.

Dustin Penner is suffering from concussion like symptoms and he's listed as day-to-day.

Returning to action from the injured: Vincent Lecavalier, Mark Stuart, Kimmo Timonen, and Mike Fisher
