A fantasized look at the NHL injury news on Saturday morning

Kelvin Kuo-USA TODAY Sports

It will be difficult for Mathieu Perreault to continue his surprising start to the season after he left last night's game with a UBI.  Word on the street is that it's a sprained hand/wrist, so he'll probably miss a few games.

Mike Weber has been a hot mess this year going 12 under par through 11 games and now he may miss some time after leaving last night's game with a UBI.

Joffrey Lupul couldn't go last night due to taking friendly fire off his foot in practice Thursday.  He's just day-to-day.

The mystery deepens around Henrik Lundqvist 's injury as he is doubtful to play against Detroit tonight.  Does anybody know any details on this?  Bruised ego, perhaps?

Josh Harding (LBI) was said to be feeling better Friday but didn't make the trip to Chicago, so he may miss a few.

Man, goalies are dropping like flies... Cory Schneider is out for tonight's game with a LBI. No word on the extent of the injury.  Maybe Marty went all Tonya Harding on his LB?

No Jeff Skinner last night.  UBI (not concussion).  Day-to-day.

Scott Hartnell (LBI) was activated from the IR yesterday and is expected to return tonight.

Some good goalie news here as Anton Khudobin (LBI) is on the road to recovery and might be able to return next week.  With Cam Ward out for up to a month, Khudos could make a decent short-term play.

David Clarkson made his season debut last night after serving his 10 game suspension.

Kris Letang is back after sitting out the first nine games of the season with a knee injury and he may need a powerbar after this one as he played 25 minutes with 8:13 on the PP.

Also returning to action last night from the injured list:  Tim Gleason & Elias Lindholm
