Anaheim Ducks

Jakob Silfverberg is gone for up to 6 weeks with a broken hand. A tough break for owners, as he looked to be establishing himself as a nice depth winger (7 points and 35 shots through 11 games)

Mathieu Perreault is day-to-day with a wrist injury.

Calgary Flames

Captain Mark Giordano is day-to-day with a lower body injury. He has been an absolute steal for poolies, with 9 points in 8 games. He won’t finish with those kind of numbers, but in Calgary he’ll be relied upon heavily this year.

Lee Stempniak missed Saturday’s game with an LBI, he’s listed as day-to-day as well.

Carolina Hurricanes

Jeff Skinner has an upper body injury. Here we go again? Well thankfully it’s been reported that this isn’t a concussion. Still, it’s worrisome for a player that has struggled with staying healthy the past two seasons. Let’s hope this is only minor.

Columbus Blue Jackets

Boone Jenner is expected to miss a few games with a leg injury.

Florida Panthers

Tim Thomas is close to skating again after his leg injury. No specific date has been set for a return. In the meantime it looks like Markstrom will continue to get the bulk of the starts.

New Jersey Devils

Cory Schneider is out with a LBI and is listed as day-to-day. It’s bad news for his fantasy owners and is even worse for the Devils. Back-up (or starter?) Martin Brodeur currently holds a 3.32 goals against average and .871 save percentage.

New York Rangers

Henrik Lundqvist is planning to make his return on Monday night for the Rangers home opener. Incredible that they still haven’t played a home game. I would expect that a slew of home games could be an opportunity for Lundqvist to get his numbers back on track. Just promise me you haven’t already sold low in your pool?

San Jose Sharks

Brent Burns is still not close to a return from a mouth injury. He’s having an outstanding start to the season playing alongside Joe Thornton. Through 8 games he’s got 8 points, 27 shots, and 8 PIMS.

Dan Boyle is reportedly hoping to return prior to the team’s road trip that ends on Wednesday. I would proceed with caution with this one. Until the team officially announces a return date you should look for alternative options.

St. Louis Blues

Chris Stewart sustained an upper body injury against Nashville on Saturday night. He’s listed as day-to-day.

Toronto Maple Leafs

Joffrey Lupul is one of the more exciting and frustrating players to draft. After suffering a bruised foot on Thursday in Leafs’ practice he is once again unavailable to poolies. He’s off to another incredible start with 6 goals and 10 points to go along with 33 shots. He may win you your pool this year, of course he’s liable to lose it for you too.
