Fantasy Hockey Injury News for Friday

A fantasized look at some NHL injury news on a Friday morning.

Justin K. Aller

In news labeled "That Can't Be Good," James Neal played just under four minutes last night before leaving the game with a UBI. He was a game time decision but perhaps he should have decided not to play. We'll get you more on Neal as we get it.

David Krejci (back) was also a game time decision and he ultimately did play. He had one assist in almost 18 minutes of ice time so he looks fine.

Max Pacioretty suffered a BI of the upper ilk during Tuesday night's game and he's listed as day to day. I'd imagine he suits up for Saturday night's game.

The potential breakout season for Filip Forsberg is currently on hold as he was held out of last night's contest with a lower body injury. The Predators play a back to back as they're on the ice again tonight so don't look for Forsberg as he won't be dressed for this one either. Keep your fingers crossed for Tuesday night.

Teammates and countrymen Patrik Elias (groin) and Jaromir Jagr (LBI) both felt good enough to give it a go. They each played around 16 minutes but couldn't sniff the scoresheet.

Still trying to get into game shape is Brenden Morrow so he sat out last night. He should be back sooner rather than later, however.

Ryan McDonagh was hit in the chin with a Radim Vrbata shot and left the game early in the second. He's a hockey player, though, and returned late in the period.

In news that will shock absolutely no one, the frail Sami Salo had to sit out last night's game with a UBI. He's day to day.
