Fantasy Hockey Injury News for Wednesday

A fantasized look at the NHL injury news on Wednesday morning

Bruce Bennett
I would just like to add to JSuites comments yesterday regarding the Stamkos injury by also saying Fuck!! I own Stamkos in our FHS Ultimate Dynasty League and although I am not off to the greatest of starts, this news certainly sucked for me even more. On the bright side, I now have over 9mill in cap relief..and I hear Bryz can be had for a meazley 7mill...*sigh*....time to do some shopping.

Jonathan Quick suffered a groin/hamstring related injury in overtime last night and had to be replaced by Ben Scrivens. Quick headed back to LA to be re-evaluated so the team has recalled Martin Jones in the meantime.

Mike Green missed practice today and is considered day to day with a LBI.

Jonas Hiller has been battling the Flu but he did practice today and is expected to start tomorrow against the Lightning. The Flu bug is making its rounds in Duck land...

Justin Schultz skated yesterday with the team for the first time in 2 weeks. He has been recovering from a groin injury.

Brendan Smith (shoulder) is expected back this weekend for the wings.

Josh Harding will NOT be starting tonight as originally expected. I haven't found any details yet as to why but if you do, be sure to post it in the comments below.

Ryan Getzlaf skated on his own today but is still day to day. Check on his status tomorrow to see if he is a game time decision against the Lightning.

Anton Khudobin is still about a week away from returning to practice, according to head coach Kirk Muller.

Tyler Bozak skated for the past couple of days after missing 6 games with a hamstring injury. He should be back soon but will his L1 duties be there for him still?

Daniel Winnik missed practice today with the flu and will be a game time decision tomorrow.

John Tavares did not practice today but after stating last night that he doesn't expect to miss any games, he should be good to go for tomorrow.

Thomas Vanek (UBI) skated on his own today. It doesn't sound like he will be back in the lineup tomorrow but the weekend seems more likely.
