Fantasy Hockey Injury News for Saturday

A fantasized look at some NHL injuries on a Saturday morning.

Anne-Marie Sorvin-USA TODAY Sports

Real bad news here as Kari Lehtonen had to leave last night's game in the first period with a groin injury. He's battled groin injuries in the past so this is disconcerting. I would make a speculative Richard Bachman add if you have a dire need in net.

Pavel Datsyuk has a shoulder bruise and had to sit out last night. He's considered day to day and is questionable to play tomorrow.

Kimmo Timonen left last night's game with a lower body injury. There's no word on severity but the speculation is that it isn't good. Hold your breath here.

Anders Lindback (illness) looks to be good to go and will likely get the start this afternoon.

Tobias Enstrom left early in the 1st period last night with a UBI. He looked to be in a lot of pain as he was helped to the locker room. This is another injury that feels like a bad one.

Corey Crawford couldn't start last night for the Blackhawks as he's got a UBI thing going on. The Blackhawks are saying it's just minor but they did call up Henrik Karlsson so it's not minor enough for Crawford to even dress. He's listed as day to day but we'll get you more on this as we get updates.

Jean-Sebastien Giguere left the Avalanche for "personal reasons" so this isn't injury related. The team says he will be back on Sunday.

James Wisniewski sat out yesterday to be with his wife while she gave birth. She delivered the baby late last night and it's not clear if he will play today. I'd lean towards no.

Justin Schultz (back) is good to go and will play tonight. Get him in your lineups.

Awesome Artem Anisimov left last night's game in the second period after taking a puck off his foot. X-rays were negative so he might even be good to go tonight.

Returning last night from the injured: Ryan Kesler, Zach Bogosian, Adrian Aucoin, Sean Couturier
