Saturday's Injury Updates - Simmonds, Pacioretty, Halak...

A fantasized look at some NHL injury news.

This did not look good for Wayne Simmonds and his owners.

Wayne Simmonds took a nasty elbow from John Erskine last night and had to leave the game. No word yet on a diagnosis but Simmonds had a bloody nose and it looked pretty bad.

Good news here as Max Pacioretty practiced yesterday and has actually been cleared to play. He probably won't play in either of these Saturday & Sunday games that the Canadiens have but it sounds like he'll get into a game next week.

Jaroslav Halak had to leave the game in the first period last night as he got hit in the mask with the puck and suffered a bruised lip.

It was another game missed for Dustin Byfuglien and the team is still offering up nothing but to say that he "aggravated something." When we know something more, you'll know something more.

Patrice Bergeron (shoulder) is good to go and will play today.

Daniel Paille will not play tonight after he got a stick to the face but they're calling it an upper body injury. It's unclear how much time he will miss.

Placed on injury reserve was Gabriel Landeskog and they're now using that dreaded "out indefinitely" term.

David Jones will miss tonight's game with a banged up knee. He's listed as day to day.

This guy can't catch a break as Guillaume Latendresse didn't play last night and won't play tomorrow with a bad case of the flu.

Returning to action from the injured: Mike Smith, Justin Faulk, Martin Hanzal, Wade Redden
